"Vasilisa..." Krosin says.

"For the last time she is not ready! I've been training for almost four years, she's been training for three months!" I growl.

"Vasilisa I understand you are worried about your friend, but there's nothing I can do. What's done is done so if you'll excuse me."

"This isnt over." I say storming out of the small office. Distinctly I hear him say something that sounded a lot like, 'oh yes it is.' Trying to ignore the irritation towards him I decide to head back towards my living quarters to pack my stuff. Upon arriving, I scan my fingerprint and walk into the familiar space. There's not much I need, so I grab a couple sets of my uniform and a few casual outfits. In reality we aren't supposed to leave for two days, but I procrastinate too much to not knock this out of the way.

After grabbing some personal items I take a look at the space before sighing. This very well could be the last time I ever see it.

Aspen's alarm clock proceeds to go off at five in the morning like usual. I stayed at her place last night to avoid going back into mine where I'd most likely punch a few holes in the wall to make Krosin angry.

"Hey Lissa," Aspen says, yawning, "Will you make me some waffles?" I laugh at her hungriness when she first wakes up but do it anyways. When they're done, I set out a few for her then wave goodbye to go do some errands. After showering and making myself look decent I walk into a shop that sells guns.

I figure if I'm going to be fighting them, I might as well be prepared. The man asks me what kind of gun I'm looking for and I tell him something lightweight but still effective. He gives me exactly what I'm looking for, I pay him before tucking the weapon in the waistband of my jeans. That's one thing off my checklist.

Next I head to the medical tent, I'd rather not go around all the sickly bodies, but something tells me I'm going to need a lot of medical supplies for the trip. As I'm waiting my mind wander to all the potentially dangerous situations I might encounter. I've never seen them close up and I'd rather not ever having to.

I sit in the car, not knowing what to do. August's lifeless body still lays on the pavement. Suddenly I feel the familiar shortness of breath, and black clouds my vision. Just when I think I'm finally going to faint a sudden calm wash over me. The rain stops. I move into the driver's seat and pull off the highway, never looking back.

HAYYYYY! I'm so glad to be back, I hate not writing for you guys, hopefully I can start doing about 2 updates a week? Anyways if you're confused, when ever there's a paragraph in italics it's a flashback to the moment that started in the introduction.

Q; How old are you guys? I'm 14. (young I know, don't judge ok)
