You arrived with Scaramouche back at the camp to find that the majority of your team was already inside their tents due to the weather, all except Aether.

He sat distraught outside his tent waiting for you to arrive back. His face looked worried, an expression which was also mixed with fear.

You limped over in Scaramouche's hands and Aether looked up, face looking much more relieved. He stood up and embraced you in a warm hug.

Even though you were drenched, his hug radiated warmth through your body. Breaking from the hug, Aether saw that he had a patch of blood on his thigh.

He glimpsed and saw the massive gash on your leg, immediately gasping.

"How did this happen?" Aether ushered you to sit down inside the tent.

"Fatui.." You responded, "But I'm okay! Scaramouche was there when the ambush occurred,"

"Thank you so much," Aether thanked Scaramouche, "What can I do to return you the favour,"

"Oh it was nothing, don't even worry about it," Scaramouche answered.

"However," Scaramouche continued, "I think that I should take the peg [ Y/N ] has and set up our tent before the rain starts to pour even more,"

"That is a good idea," You admitted.

Just then the zipper of the tent next to you opened to reveal Childe.

"Oh, there you are [ Y/N ]. Where the hell did you go? You didn't even tell me anything!" He exclaimed.

Childe looked over your shoulder,

"So that's where you went," He spoke to Scaramouche, "Why are you so attached to them?"

"It seems like you're the one that's attached here Childe," Scaramouche responded coldly.

Childe gritted his teeth,

"Woah, guys calm down. I'm fine. Let's just all go to bed?" You offered to break up the tension.

"You're sharing a tent with me right?" Childe asked.

"Wait Childe, I'm already sharing the second tent with you,"

Aether butted in,

"That would be too small for the three of us to fit it,"

"Oh well, I guess [ Y/N ] is sleeping with me tonight," Scaramouche beamed. He continued,

" [ Y/N ] I'll set the tent up and we can go in,"

Whilst Scaramouche was setting up the last peg, Childe had pulled you over to the side.

He stood there, staring at you and placed his hands on your shoulders. You had never seen him act this way before. He seemed so nervous, angry and confused.
