Chapter Fifteen: It All Starts Here

Anala's pov:

-A week later-

This past week has been...tolerable.

I have been training with Alex almost every day along with Luca some days and have been trying to put my feelings aside for the mission.

I won't say that I'm not nervous about this weekend because that would be a lie. This is one of the biggest missions I have had yet, but I would also be lying if I said that I wasn't excited.

Sure I'm going to be with my least favorite person but I'm going to be able to use my skills to my greatest advantage.

Nonetheless to say that Cattiva and Monstro will be working together for the first time ever. Not that many people would know, but still impressive.

I am packing for three days so I bring all the necessities. I'm honestly just thankful that I'm not going to be on my period this mission because lord knows I would actually kill him.

I grab all my bags and set them in the hallway. I go to the entryway to find one of the men that is going along with us on this mission, Teague. 

"Hey, can you help me bring my bags to the car?" I ask.

He turns away from talking to Mateo. "Yea for sure."

We both walk upstairs to my bags. "Holy shit do you really need this much stuff?"

"Um yes. This bag has all my weapons," I say pointing to one of the bags. "This bag has all my clothes, and this bag has all my girl necessities."

"Okay point taken," he says, picking up two of my bags while I carry my backpack.

I give my last bag to Teague so he can put it in the car while I stay in the kitchen.

"Listen, you're going to call me and give me updates. Don't be fucking stupid either. Do exactly what Mateo and Kaz say. And be safe," I hear Alex say to Luca.

"I know I know. Don't worry about me." Luca says, trying to reassure his big brother.

I walk up to Luca. "Hey puka, be safe out there. Don't trust anyone except for Mateo and Kaz."

"I literally just told him the exact same thing," Alex says with his arms crossed.

"No you said to do what they say which is also true," I say scowling at Alex and then bringing my attention back to Luca.

"Look I know, I have already heard you guys bicker and say the same stuff all week. I'm ready," he says with a small laugh at the end.

"I don't care, you need it engulfed in your brain," I say seriously.

"Okay guys it's time to go," Mateo says by the door.

"Be safe guys," Luca says.

"Don't worry about us, bye babe" I say, giving him a hug.

We pull away and his attention goes to Alex. Without saying anything they do a handshake.

"Forever," Alex says.

"Forever," Luca repeats then Alex turns to me and moves his head towards the door signaling that we can go.

"I'll be out in a sec," I say and walk towards the guys.

"Bye guys," I smile.

"Bye Anala," Kaz says with a smile then takes me in for a hug. I know it hasn't been that long but I feel like me and Kaz have been friends for forever.
