Chapter Twenty-Nine: Murder Mystery

Anala's pov:

It's been a couple of days since Natalia arrived. She's quiet but I don't really have anything bad to say about her. 

She is kinda just there and follows Mateo around like a puppy. I think we have exchanged like ten words with each other. 

She thanked me for the clothes and asked me how I am related to Mateo and what I do.
Besides that, she just keeps to herself.
Maybe it's not such a bad thing, we have enough chaos in this house.

Kaz, Jay, Alex, Luca, and I all went to Kaz's mother's house to start moving most of Cami's stuff out of there to move into the empire with all of us.

"Do you want me to make you guys any food? I have cookies but they are a day old. I also have unicorn cake pops that I made with Cami." Kaz's mom tells us all while we are hauling some boxes into the car.

Kaz's mom is the absolute definition of grandma and one of the sweetest people I have ever met.

"I'll take a unicorn cake pop, shit," Kaz says.

"Language," Ms. Dalton snaps.

"Sorry," he says like a child.

"I'll take one too please," Luca says after dropping a box inside of the car.

Jay, Alex, and I also all agree on a cake pop.

We all make our way inside and see how adorable these fucking cake pops are. I take a bite and it is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth which says a lot because Nick is a phenomenal cook.

"Ms. Dalton, this is incredible, what's the secret?" I ask before shoving the rest in my face.

"Love sweetheart." She says before she comes and whispers in my ear while she walks by.

"I use a box cake mix and add extra butter and sugar. Don't tell anyone, gotta make it seem like it's a secret recipe."

I laugh and continue loading things up.

"Cami, how do you like your new room?" I ask while I'm holding her up on my side.

We painted it light blue because that's what she said her favorite color is but knowing kids it will probably change next week.

"It's cute." Is all she says as she takes it in.

"Cute?" Kaz asks Cami. I swear this kid is a mini-me.

"I want a lion." She says to her dad and I laugh.

"She's your kid all right," I say, which makes him roll his eyes.

"I'm not getting you a lion," he tells Cami then turns to me, "I'm gonna go talk to Mateo about something. Can you stay with Cami?" Which I happily oblige.

After he leaves it's just me and Cami so I set her down and we dig out some of her toys that we just brought over.

I think back to the conversation I had with Kaz a couple of weeks ago regarding Cami's nightmares and the fact that I said I would talk to her.

"Hey Cami, I have a question," I say while we both play with her different dolls and play kitchen.

"What?" She asks while putting some plastic corn in the microwave attached to her toy kitchen.
