"Ricky, I can't do it. Like, if it says no, I might jump out a window. Wait, no. Two floors isn't high enough. I need an impact that can give me amnesia."

With all of the events preceding March 26th, Ivy Day truly snuck up on Nini. As she paced in her dorm room, boyfriend on her bed seriously concerned for her well-being, Nini rambled about the possibilities of opening her decision and not seeing the congratulatory confetti disperse across her computer screen. She was confident in her application before she knew about Charlie's meddling, but now she feared that she would be punished for something she had no hand in.

Ricky on the other hand had all his faith in his girlfriend. When she told him about what Charlie did, he was disappointed, but not surprised. Ricky knew Nini's abilities, and he was convinced that the people at Harvard were blind if they couldn't see them. "Nini, maybe you should take a seat," Ricky advised the girl trying to talk herself off of a ledge yet failing miserably. He sat before her open laptop on her bed, staring at the tiny digital clock in the top right of the screen – 2:58 pm.

"If I sit down, the universe will think I'm giving up, and then I'll get rejected," Nini falsely assessed, shaking Ricky's shoulder. "How could you even ask me that?"
