The Boy With Nine Tails

The Chunin Exams 1st Stage

"Team 7.. please explain why there is an A-rank missing-nin in my office." The Third said while pinching the bridge of his nose

Naruto chuckled nervously "My bad.." he said

Kakashi went on to explain how the mission went

Hiruzen just sighed after the Jonin's explanation "Why am I not surprised?"

"Zabuza Momochi, and Haku Yuki. You will both be place in a probation period. Afterwards, Zabuza, you may start as a Jonin seeing as that was your rank when he left the mist. Haku, you will start as a Genin regardless of your skill level." He said

Both Zabuza and Haku nodded

"Team 7, you will all be paid the equivalent of an A-Rank mission." The Sandaime said, addressing his attention to his ninja.

Naruto jumped, pumping his fists in the air as his tails waved around "Haha! A-Rank pay!"

"Yes yes, I'm sure your happy Naruto, now your all dismissed." Hiruzen told the people in his office

As they were walking out Hiruzen reminisced Kakashi's report "Ah, Naruto, would you stay for a moment?" He asked

The tailed boy looked back, "Oh, okay!" He said as he came back into the room

Once everyone else had filtered out of the room, Hiruzen looked at the excited blond, watching his nine tails wave around freely

"Wat'cha need Jiji?" Naruto asked with a small tilt of his head

"During Kakashi's report, he mentioned you killed one of your original assailants, are you sure your completely okay?" The Sandaime said with his Naruto-dubbed 'Jiji tone'

The nine chakra tails slowed down to a stop "Uh, yeah, I mean, it was us or them right?" Naruto said, Truth be told, he was terrified when he did it, Kakashi had approached him to talk about it, and Naruto made the man promise not to tell anyone.

Apparently, Kakashi took promises very seriously, to the point of not telling his own Kage about their talk.

Hiruzen sighed, weather from relief or tiredness, he may never know "As long as your sure." The man said

The purple translucent Chakra tails started waving steadily again and Naruto nodded before going out the door to catch up to his team

The Sandaime smiled at Naruto as the boy left, one of his tails closing the door behind him.

Naruto caught up to the team as Kakashi began to congratulate about a mission well done

"I think that went well." The man said.

"The mission or reporting it to the Third?" Sakura asked

"Hm." Kakashi just grunted in a cheerful tone and nodded

"Why don't we all go out for something to eat, as a celebration for completing your first C-Rank?" Kakashi asked, though it wasn't much of a question

Naruto simultaneously thought "Wouldn't it be our first A-Rank?" And "Ramen!" At the same time, deciding to announce the latter out loud.

The reactions from team were as such, Sasuke's grimace got a bit colder, and Sakura's face scrunched up announcing, "I don't understand how you can stomach that stuff"
