Lauren’s POV:

Another day, another patient. Work is crazy but I love it.

“Hey baby, how are you doing today?” I check the vitals of the young patient and she just smiles and nods. Not much of a talker but always smiling. “Good. I’ll see you tomorrow for the shots alright?” I tell her and her smile falters a little before returning. “Hey, listen. The shots hurt but after we can play a game. How about that?” I tickle the little girl and she laughs and nods happily. “Awesome. I can’t wait. Bye Lex” I leave the girls room to end my shift when I feel a buzz in my pocket.

“Hello Dinah” I answer the phone as I continue to pack and go home.

“What up Dawg. You mind going to your car?” Dinah nonchalantly speaks.

“I’m on my way there now. Whats up?” I say walking through the parking garage.

“Oh nothing. Just chilling on some leather.”

“Dinah, are you doing some kinky shit? Because I don’t wanna know.” I speak loud and clear trying to shake images out of my head.

“Shut up! You have such a dirty mind. But no. I’m actually sitting i-“ Dinah gets interrupted when I scream through the phone.

“IN MY CAR” I hangup and reach over to hug Dinah who is in the passenger seat. “You scared the shit out of me!” I laugh and she joins in my laughter.

“I’ve missed your laugh” Dinah says and lets me go so I can start the car. “Let’s get some food!”

“What are you doing here?” I leave the parking garage and head to Dinah and I’s favorite place to eat.

“I’m here on business and thought I’d surprise you. Surprise!” Dinah cheers.

“I’m so happy you’re here! OH MY gOD. I’ve missed you.” I giddily jump in my seat as we pull up to Biji’s, an amazing wing place.

“I’ve missed you too. I have a lot of meetings but I’ll try and have dinner with you every night, okay?” Dinah smiles and I think its weird for her to have business in New York when she just got signed and started work in L.A.

“Okay, awesome!” None the less, I agree.

After dinner we went back to my place to drink and carelessly talk.

“How are you Lauren? Like really, how are you?” Dinah sits down on the couch with the second bottle of wine.

“I’m good. Working hard, writing and painting a lot. It’s been good.” I say.

“So nothing…weird or dramatic has happened?” Dinah asks and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

“Nope.” I answer kinda honestly. I’m hoping I don’t buzz talk and bring up me bumping into Camila. It wasn’t that big of a deal. Right? It’s not like I’ve been nonstop thinking about it the whole week or looking everywhere I turn to hopefully catch another glimpse of her….whaaaaa?

“Okay. Well, I must get going. It’s late and I have an early meeting. But text me and we’ll go out and do something fun tomorrow!” Dinah gets up and kisses my cheek before swiftly exiting.  I sigh and fall asleep on the couch from my long and exhausting day.

Camila’s POV:

“Hey, Dinah” I call out from the kitchen when I hear the door open.

“Hey Mila, Whatcha doing?” Dinah enters looking slightly buzzed and happy.

“Just, ya know..eating.” I turn around to put the icecream back in the freezer and exit the kitchen to sit in front of the tv.
