Lauren’s POV:

It’s been 2 months since the livestream. After it ended I had no idea what to do with myself. It was a full day of sitting on the floor staring into oblivion, thinking. Thinking. And more thinking. After days of crying, not sleeping, and ignoring all our loud stomach’s practically yelling for food.. I got up and realized what I needed to do.

Flashback 2 months before

“Stop.” I finally spoke after days of quietness.

“Laur.” I heard Ally say to the left of me not looking away from her gaze on the floor. The only people left in the apartment were Dinah, Normani, and Ally. Not one of us has been out of the apartment since the stream. Theres been constant calls and knocks on the doors, but no one has answered them. Probably just being calls full of “Praying for you” and “I’m so sorry”. And none of those will bring my Camz back so whats the point in answering?

“We can’t just sit here. We need to do something!” I said my voice faint and sore from not speaking in forever. I slowly get up out of my spot on the couch and wince at the pain in my legs and back from not moving for days.

“Lauren. Theres nothing we can do.” Normani whispers and shifts in her spot on the couch.

Theres been countless reports on the news about the stream. But all of them are saying the same thing. That the US government isn’t even looking at the case twice. They can’t risk giving them multiple terrorist back and their newly created weapon in exchange for her. So they just ignore the threat and move on. Even the president of the united states came out with a speech about it. Saying he’s sorry and he’s still going to try and find her. But still, nothing has happened. So I need to take matters into my own hands.

“Yes there is. I can’t keep sitting here thinking about how I CAN’T help her. Theres got to be something. And I need all of your help. Please.” I plead and they all finally look up to stare at me. I gaze upon all of them and see their sad, exhausted, defeated faces.

“What is there to do that could possibly help?! Camila is beyond our reach and captured by one of the biggest terrorist leaders! What is there to do that would help her in this situation? Just give it up Lauren.” Dinah finally speaks her mind after her being the quietest of them all. She lets another silent tear roll down her face as she looks away.

“Don’t say that! How are you supposed to tell me to give up?! I love her. Now, later, forever. That was our promise. So no. I will not give up. And you are sure as hell that I’m not going to sit here one more day sulking on this couch upset about not doing anything! Either you’re going to help me or not, I will find Camila. So help me god Dinah.” I scream at her but instantly calm down as she looks at me with sincerity and love.

“Okay.” Dinah says sadly and stands up with me.

“Okay.” Normani and Ally stand up too.

“I’ve got a plan.” I state and smile at them.

End of flashback.

“Laur! We got to leave in 10 minutes! Are you ready?” Ally screams from the living room and I zip up the bag filled with everything I need for the weekend trip.

“Yes. Lets go!” I give her a slight smile and open the door for her.

“Have you gotten a call from Dinah or Normani yet?”

“They texted me this morning. They made it to Washington safely and have already got a meeting with the General for tomorrow.” I confirm and put our bags in the backseat.
