I looked in the mirror for the last time my long ash blonde hair was curled loosely, my makeup was done and I was wearing my favourite red dress that Tony had gifted me when we went on our first date; and my silver heart locket that Tony had gifted me for my 24th birthday.

As I made my entrance down stairs I saw Tony staring at me. I made my way to him "you know I always love it when you wear that dress." Tony said taking my hand interwinding his fingers with mine.

"Oh I know you love this dress it's in your colour and so everybody knows that I am yours." I seductively flirted.

"You know me too well, but I always love showing off what is mine." He said before kissing me.

"So where is the birthday boy? Hiding in the lab already?" I said looking for Bruce.

"He is at the bar with Natasha, I think something is going on between those too but I have no idea what it is." He said.

I roll my eyes and lead the way over to the bar to wish the birthday boy a happy birthday.

"Well if it isn't the perfect couple, how are you Katy I haven't seen you in a while we definitely need to have a girls night soon. I'm so sick of being surrounded by men all the time it's tiring." Natasha said warmly as she greeted Tony and I to the bar.

"We definitely need to plan something soon, life has been so boring but I definitely think that I will be rejoining the team sooner rather than later." I hopefully announce, taking a sip of the drink Natasha had passed me. "So what are you two hiding?" I teased.

Natasha and Bruce looked at each other for a moment before Bruce answered "nothing important, I just needed a drink." Bruce smiled but there was a small blush forming on his checks.

"I'm just glad that your hiding in the lab just yet, I honestly wouldn't blame you I had no idea how many people would be here tonight. I would say it surprised me but being a Stark party nothing surprises me anymore. Also happy birthday!" I said giving him a hug.

"Thank you Katy, I honestly didn't want a party but you know he looks for any excuse to throw an elaborate party." He said shaking his head.

"Excuse me if I just wanted to throw my good friend and team member a party. You need to relax the big green guy isn't going to come out tonight." Tony interrupted wrapping his arm around me. "You haven't seen anything yet, our wedding is going to be huge." He randomly admitted.

As he said those words I was shocked even though we had been together for 4 years surprisingly the topic never came up. I knew that we would spend the rest of our lives together that wasn't even in question. I never had ever believed in soul mates I thought the notion was stupid that you belonged to only one person until I met Tony and even if there was a large age gap between us I knew we belonged to each other.

"So you want to get married? You never mentioned that before." I questioned, ignoring the butterflies invading my stomach.

"Of course I do. I would have to be an idiot if I didn't want to marry you and honestly I don't know why we haven't already." Tony said.

"Well you better do it soon or else I might run away with Bruce here and I'm sure we can have a perfect little secluded life." I teased.

"Well as much as that sounds inviting I might leave you two to continue, I'll see you guys later." Bruce said as he was leaving Natasha, Tony and I to talk.

"We will continue this later, but I'm interested in know why you haven't done it yet." I said to Tony. I place a smooth peck to his cheek, keeping the gesture simple but sweet. "But when you do ask me, I will say yes. I love you." I admitted.

"I promise one day you will be Mrs Stark." Tony put in, his breath hot against my neck as he whispers the words to me. clasping my hand in his, our fingers intertwining.

"You guys really need to just stop being so romantic it's nearly been five years and your still all over each other. It makes me sick." Natasha sighed in fake disgust, making her way over to another group being formed.

As the night went on more people started to arrive and finally all the avengers had arrived. It had been a while since they had all been in one placed especially Thor he had recently been on Asgard for a while as him and Jane and split up again.

Steve and Sam were off talking what I could only imagine it was about the Winter Solider. I wanted to know more about what was happening with that as I had once encountered the solider before being recruited in the avengers. But I knew that Steve would want to keep whatever information he knew hidden until he was absolutely certain.

Natasha, Clint and Bruce were all sitting and talking enjoying each other's company. Tony and Rhodey were nearby discussing something important as well. As I was looking where everybody was and deciding who I would join I felt two large muscular arms wrap around my thin waist.

"Why haven't you said hello to me yet Katy?" Thor questioned unwrapped his arms from the hug.

"Oh I don't know, I thought I would give you some space to mingle now that you are recently single. Have you found anyone that is at least interesting?" I teased.

"You know better than anybody that there won't be anybody for a while. Asgard needs a king so I have my hands full at the moment." He said folding his arms.

Thor and I had some become fast friends after he joined the avengers, he wasn't the usual type of person I would make friends with so easily but somehow it felt like we had know each other forever. Him and Jane had split a while ago and I couldn't tell wether it still effected him but I knew him better than most and I was pretty sure he was ready to find somebody new.

"Has there been anybody on Asgard that you would consider? There has to be many young maidens aiming for the attention from a gorgeously attractive god." I teased.

"Ah, even if there was I simply have no time since father had put in charge." He flatly stated. I laughed at his demeanour I knew he had time but he simply wasn't interested I guess.

"And I guess you have a brother to keep and eye on as well." I joked. Thor just smiled at the mention of his brother. I had only had met Loki when he attacked New York. Meeting him had been an experience I was the one that had to get answers from him and he was definitely not accommodating so I had to my thing and control his mind which to my surprise amused him but it worked. I felt like he was surprisingly intrigued by me more than I was with him.

The rest of the night went to plan and was a huge success and everybody had a great night. Everyone left by 2am in the morning which just left me and Tony dancing in the moonlight which filled the room. It was moments like this that I love I didn't care how rich he was or how smart he was or even that he was an avenger it was his soul that I loved. We could've had absolutely nothing but as long as we had each other life was complete and in that moment everything was perfect.
