"Yeager!"

"Hm?" he heard her call him from down the hall, turning his body to face her as he watched her walk towards him, holding a paper in her hand. "Look at this shit." she said as he saw a 89% written in red marker.

"Is that the first time you got a high grade?" he asked, causing her to glare at him as he laughed at her. "No it wasn't! I had plenty in elementary school!" she tried to reason while he deadpanned at her.

"We're in high school now.."

"School is harder." she sulked as they started to head towards their lockers. "Yeah not that hard though." he teased her while she "lightly" shoved him into the lockers, making all his books in his hands fall. "Dude, you're embarrassing..get up." she said as he felt his cheeks heat up from embarrassment and started to stand up.

"You pushed me!" he said, opening his locker while she headed to hers. "It was a light shove, you're just weak."

"A light shove?! I almost broke my leg!" he glared at her. "Okay now you're being dramatic, let's go Yeager!" she grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the school building while he tried walking. "Can I put my feet on the ground?!"

"Oh shit. Sorry, say something first." she looked at him as he shook his head. "I tried to!"

"Well say it louder, my hearing isn't good." she said while he rolled his eyes. He couldn't tell if she was joking or not or even teasing him. "How about we exchange numbers?" he asked while she stopped walking.

"You wanna exchange numbers?" she said, looking at him as he nodded and reached into his pockets to get his phone. "Yeah so that way if I can't go over to your house or you can't come over to mine we can just talk on the phone." he handed her his phone while she took out hers and gave it to him. Once he was done, he waited for her to finish, she then gave him back his phone.

"My house or yours?" he asked. "Mine." she said as she started to walk in the direction of her home, Eren following after her. "Do we live in the same neighborhood?" he asked, seeing that this was the way to his house.

"Yeah."

"And you didn't say anything?!"

"Didn't feel the need to." he watched her shrug her shoulders as they passed by his house. "Almost there." she said, passing the house next to his as his eyes widened. "We live a house apart?!"

"Yeah."

"What?! How come I don't see you in the morning?" he asked as she opened the front door. "My mom drops me off to school since her job is around the corner." she said while he nodded, looking around the unfamiliar house as she guided him towards her room.

"Oh, okay." he answered, glancing at her as he saw her open her room door. His eyes moved around, taking in the decorated room before he looked back at her. "Your room's pretty cool..?" he said, watching her nod before she sat down on her bed, patting to the empty spot next to her as he walked towards her and sat down.

"Thanks." she said while she placed her hands on his face, surprising him as he wondered what she was doing. "Uh, what are you doing?" he hesitated to say, his eyes on her as he watched her face get closer to his while he felt his face heat up, a blush starting to coat his cheeks.

"You have something on your eye."

"You should've just told me instead of doing all that!"

"What? You haven't been close to a girl before?" she asked, pulling away as he started to feel embarrassed while she started to laugh. "You haven't?!" she kept laughing as he glared at her.

"I'm not good with girls okay!" he scratched the back of his neck, glancing at her as she stopped laughing. "I'll help you. Sort of like an exchange, you help me and i'll help you."

"Yeah but I don't really think you'll help me—"

"What's that supposed to mean?!"
