"This is why you're failing.."

"Shut up Yeager, now tell me about your favorite "love" tropes." Y/n said as she was laying on her stomach, watching Eren's face turn red. "What are you talking about?!" he screeched, hiding his face behind his book as she laughed. "I knew it!"

"What do you mean you knew?!"

"You have a favorite love trope and i'm going to find out what it is!" she smirked as he backed away from her. "I'd rather tell you than you force it out of me!" Eren said while she playfully rolled her eyes, pushing herself to sit up. "Then tell me, what is your favorite love trope?"

"Um..now that I think about it..I don't really have a favorite love trope.." Eren tried to lie but she could see right through it based on the full shelf of romance mangas, books and movies, it was very obvious that the boy had a favorite love trope.

"Spit it out." she said, looking at him as she nodded her head to the side, gesturing him to look over to his bookshelf as she heard him sigh. "Strangers to friends to lovers to forced enemies to where they still love each other but one of them dies because the other killed them." Eren quickly said, catching his breath.

"I was joking but oh my god..tell me more." Y/n said, starting to tease him as he couldn't tell if she was joking or not. "Okay so basically uh..i'm just going to use us for an example. We didn't know each other right then one day we become friends then we like each other..get it?" Eren started to say as Y/n pretended to take notes, mocking Eren as he rolled his eyes.

"Yeah I do Mr."

"So then people make us believe that we actually use each other and we're just with each other for whatever reason it is. Then we're both told that we have to kill the other and now we're both filled with this type of hatred so of course we're going to try and kill the other but we still love each other." Eren continued to explain. "So then we're at that point where we're about to kill each other, we don't want to but we have to."

"So one of us is going to die?"

"Yeah! Like a sad tragic love story."

"Hm, not bad..I guess." she mumbled, taking her notebook as she set it down in front of her as he saw the notes she had taken from her other class. "So you're smart in your other classes but not in this particular subject?" he asked her, watching her shrug her shoulders. "I guess. Love is just eh to me. Like it's cool and all but not for me..well I actually want to be in a relationship but no one really likes me? Or I don't attract anyone?"

She sighed, looking at Eren as he smiled at her, an idea popping into his head as her furrowed her eyebrows, wondering what he could be thinking. "How about I be your fake boyfriend—?" he suggested while she sat straight, looking at him as his smile quickly disappeared. "No."

"Aw come on! It'll only help you!"

"I said no."

"Please!" he said, grabbing her hands while his heart race. Of course he read romance books, watched more than a few shows so obviously he wanted to take the chance to have a "small" spark or a chance at what a relationship might feel like. "Why? So you can know how it feels how it is to be in a relationship?" she asked, watching him freeze as she shook her head.

'Did she read my mind..?!' he thought as he eyed her. 'Cough if you can read my mind!' she didn't cough but she did sneeze. He let out a relieved sigh while she carefully looked at him, trying to figure out what he could be doing.

"Fine. Only for like a week." she finally agreed as his eyes widened. "Really? Like actually?" he said, his shocked expression saying everything she needed to hear as she nodded. "Yeah..I guess it'll help me too. I mean it's not like we'll catch feelings or anything, we'll just pretend to act like a couple."

"Yeah! See! So that way we both can teach each other how it feels to be in a relationship!" though it came out of his mouth, it didn't sit right with him, her being in a relationship with someone else. He shook off the feeling and had his hand out for her to shake.

"Come on, so we can sort of seal the deal." he smiled at her while she rolled her eyes. "Yeah whatever. Remember, no catching feelings, especially you Mr. Hopeless Romantic." she teased him, lightly smacking his cheek while he glared at her. "Come on!" he shook his hand in front of her as she nodded, getting closer to him as she let out her hand.

"Fine."

"Great now..what do we do now?"
