Could It Be?

Chapter 3

Luna's POV:
I woke up to the smell of bacon. I shot up in my bed and ran down my stairs "hello, how is the most wonderful mom who makes the most wonderful breakfasts doing?" I gave her a big grin. "I'm doing just dandy. Go wake up Shawn so you guys can eat." I laughed "i almost forgot he was here." I ran back up stairs to wake Shawn up. I cracked open my door and peaked through to make sure he was still sleeping. I sat by him and sang the wake up song

"It's time to get up in the morning. I got my mothers breakfast for you, not just any other brand. I went downstairs to get it so you better get up and eat. SO ITS TIME TO GET UP GET UP." I started jumping on him then I sang sweetly "it's time to geeeeeettttt upppppp!" He sat up and gave me an applause and I bowed. "I'll meet you downstairs after I wake up Chris." I laughed and left my room. "Chris get up mom made breakfast." I shook him and yelled "oh so you'll sing to Shawn but yell at me?" He asked rubbing his eyes, I nodded "yeah pretty much."

After breakfast I told Shawn I would show him around LA. He went home to get ready while I went up stairs. I put on my blue floral bikini, a sheer white crop top and my american eagle shorts. I always wear a bikini on the weekends because I always end up surfing. I put on some waterproof mascara, I'm not to big on the make up thing so I only wear mascara. I went down stairs and Shawn was sitting on my couch. He didn't notice me so I took the opportunity to scare the shit out of him. I got in my hands and knees and crawled behind the couch. "Ready to go?" Shawn asked "damn it! I was supposed scare you!" I pouted "oh sorry did I ruin it?" He said mocking me, "shut up let's go." I pushed his shoulder then grabbed my black vans and my pink pastel penny board, Shawn grabbed his dark blue penny board and we were on our way.

We rode around for about ten minutes till we stopped at my favorite ice cream shop. We walked in and I was greeted by the owner. "You know him?" Shawn whispered in my ear. "Yeah I've lived here forever and this was my dad and I's favorite place." I smiled "what are you getting?" He whispered in my ear again. "Shawn why are you whispering?" I laughed and he shrugged his shoulders "I just don't know anybody and you know like everyone." "Awe don't worry you're still my favorite person." I smiled and wrapped my arms around his waist since he was way taller then me. "A double scoop of cookies and cream please." I smiled at the cashier "I will get what she's getting please." Shawn smiled that smile I fell in love with... Wait in love? No I need to stop, he probably doesn't even like me. I went to pay "what are you doing?" Shawn asked "I'm going to pay?" I furrowed my eyebrows "girls should never pay. I've got it." I didn't argue because I knew I would lose so I just nodded. Once he paid we left.

We rode until we got to the park and we sat down in the grass talking about nonsense for about half an hour. "Do you wanna be a little adventurous." I asked "what do you mean?" I stood up grabbed his hand and started running towards the woods that were behind the park. "Luna where are you taking me? Is it a donjon where you keep every boy you meet?" He asked in a scared voice, I laughed "no Shawn I'm not a phsyco!" We walked for another fifteen minutes till we came to a lake. "It's gorgeous." I looked with amazement in his eye "yeah me and Matthew used to come down here all the time." I said, "who's Matthew?" He asked with his eyes now fixed on me. "He was my best friend." I looked to the ground "what happened?" Shawn said grabbing my wrist. "He moved to Virginia and he never contacted me or anything." I said holding back tears "I'm sorry for asking. I didn't know it was a sensitive subject." Shawn said hugging me "it's okay. I shouldn't let him get to me. His loss right?" I said hugging him "that's right." I could hear that he was smiling through the way he spoke. "I'll beat you to the water." I let go and started running "hey that's not fair! You got a head start!" He yelled. I ran through the water till I fell soaking myself. "I won." I grinned "only cause you cheated." He pushed me backwards making me fall. "That's it!" I jumped on his back making him fall forward going underwater. We came up from under the water and started tickling me. He stopped and was just staring at me. "What?" I giggled "nothing it's just that I never realized how gorgeous you really were, it's not just your face but it's your personality, your features, the way you walk, and talk. Everything about you is just beautiful." I didn't realize how close we had gotten until shawn tucked a piece of hair behind my ear and put his hand on my face. "Can I kiss you?" He asked, I nodded and our lips met immediately. Sparks flew, my lips were tingling, and the kiss wasn't a 'I wanna make out just to make out' but it was a genuine kiss. Our lips disconnected and we just stood there for a moment. "Thank for accepting me for who I am. No has ever gotten to know me, they don't talk to me because I have good grades and I actually care for my education." I hugged his neck, "Luna, you really are a beautiful person, and I.... Nevermind." "No say what you were gonna say." I said curious as to what he was thinking "do you think it's a possibility if we could actually be together?" Shawn asked twiddling his thumbs "I think it could be possible, yes." I smiled and he looked up at me, his face lit up and he was smiling so big. "Come on let's go get some lunch... Girlfriend." I laughed and got out of the lake. I put my clothes on and we went to In and Out. 'My first boyfriend' that thought never left my mind, the feeling of being wanted is the best feeling you could ever have.
