Y/n POV

It had just been announced that Ms Venable and I had won the competition. Our challenge was to create a work day out for the company and we succeeded in the best one. We had won by 76 votes in total, but whether those votes were for the day or for me, I wasn't sure.

I was friends with everyone in the company, apart from Ms Venable, which meant working together was definitely an interesting experience, to say the least. I loved nature and she didn't. I liked trees and she didn't. Every idea I liked, she didn't. After a week of persuasion, she finally let me throw it in a forest, a little walk away from a waterfall.

"Yo, y/n can you come with us?" Mutt asked, grinning at me from my office door.

"Yeah, sure," I smiled, following my bosses down the hall.

"Ms Venable, can we talk to you?" Jeff asked the lady in purple behind her desk.

"About?" She eyed me up and down, "what is she doing here?" She glared, pointing at me.

"Well, we wanted to give the pair of you your reward for winning the competition," Mutt smiled, pushing me into Ms Venable's office and down on a chair in front of her.

"There's a reward?" I frowned, looking between my bosses and the obviously pissed off woman.

"Yeah, you're both going away for a week. You're booked into a hotel in Majorca from next Monday until the Monday after," Jeff grinned, handing the both of us plane tickets.

"You've got all evening meals paid for at various restaurants, and 500 euros that you will be given before you board the plane. Any questions?" Mutt smiled.

"Yeah, actually," I said, looking at Ms Venable, "it's Friday today. So you're telling me we board a plane together in three days?"

"That is correct," Jeff nodded.

"OK," I breathed, dying inside.

"I have a question, too," the pretty girl behind me said, tearing me away from my thoughts, "do I have to go? Like with her?".

Ouch.

"Yes," Mutt nodded, making the purple lady roll her eyes.

"If you want, I'll pretend I don't even exist when we're on holiday, I'll leave you to it and go off alone," I said, smiling slightly, but I knew it was filled with pain.

"I suppose I can put up with you for another week, I've survived this long,"

"Really?" I grinned, making her nod her head slightly.
