(Edward's POV)
As I got dressed for school today I couldn't help but think of how I ruined our date but the good thing is Lola accepted my apology. I promised to make it up to her and I don't even know how yet but I'm glad she was no longer angry at me.
"Jason be quick or I'll leave you behind!" I shouted as I went down for breakfast, he was always waking up late and inturn making me late for school . At the table mom was already having a cup of tea and some waffles with a style magazine in her hand. She raised her headfull of curlers as smiled at me.
"Hi Mom" I said smiling back and taking a seat as she passed me a plate full of waffle.
"Good morning Eddie" she said back, her Sussex accent prominent, just then dad who was wearing an apron brought more waffles he made to the table as he whistled a tune.
"Nathan stop whistling and eat, you've made enough waffles to feed ten thousand" mom said scolding my dad.
"Elizabeth you and I know that the three guys in the house would finish this and still eat more if it was available" dad said grinning and mom said something about boys eating like pigs.
"Ed would you like more waffles?" dad asked
"No I'm okay with this, this is a mountain" I said and he grinned
Mom and dad were always bickering about something or the other most times. They were high school sweethearts from England and they ended getting married and moving to America at some point in time. Their love story is beautiful in it's own way, they got married again six years ago after being divorced for two. I can still remember how dad always hung around the house when they were divorced and all of a sudden they got married again. They were a crazy bunch and I love them a lot.
"Good morning mom"
Jason said whistling too, I don't know what is making dad and Jason whistle this morning. I am just glad I wouldn't have to get to school late today like he makes me on some other days.
"Good morning honey, how did you sleep" mom asked
"Like a koala"
"You wouldn't be sleeping like that if you had to work for all the demands you make," dad said referring to the expensive car Jason has been begging for. He was grinning but we all knew he was serious.
"Mom, dad at it again and I haven't even said anything this week," Jason said looking at mom
"Nathan! stop teasing him," mom said almost screaming with a small frown on her face.
My mom was always treating Jason like a baby just because he was the last born and he also behaves like a baby too, requesting for things like he ought to have them, his recent request is still pending and I'm very sure mom is going to accept she's trying to play the hard card while hoping he would change his mind but Jason has set his mind on a Mercedes Benz, class A 220 a 2020 model, dad's intial reaction was priceless, he laughed in Jason's face and told him he could have the car when he was making enough money to buy it. He is going to get the car of his dreams I know that for sure but during his carless time, I'm his designated driver.
"Ooh dad made waffles," Jason said and began devouring his breakfast. We ate with occasional questions by mom and dry jokes from dad.
"Thanks Eddie for agreeing to drop Jason at school today, I really need to be at the spa for my appointment or else Melanie would postpone my appointment till God knows when"
Mom rambled on, my punishment was over since last week but she still has me driving Jason to and from school. Jason and I stood up to go, mom then stood and motioned for us to give her a kiss on her cheeks as we usually do before going to school. We said our goodbyes and left the house mom and dad shouting strings of advice to us meant for ten year olds.
