"You never know the biggest day of your life is going to be the biggest. The days you think are going to be big ones, they are never as big as you make them out to be in your head. It's the regular days, the ones that start out normal. Those are the days that end up being the biggest. And today was the wedding. It was beautiful. Perfect. You never know the biggest day of your life is the biggest day, not until it's happening. You don't recognise the biggest day of your life, not until you're right in the middle of it. The day you commit to something or someone. The day you get your heart broken. The day you meet your soulmate. The day you realise there's not enough time because you wanna live forever. Those are the biggest days. The perfect days. You know, it was a beautiful day"

"my yesterday was blue, dear. today i'm a part of you, dear"

"You should see the bridesmaid dresses", Lucy said to Bailey and Alex, while Bailey was checking her. "And the flowers. They're being delivered at 5. I had to pay extra to have them decorate but Derek gave me his credit card, told me to do what I had to do. That's the first time in years he's trusted me with any of his stuff". "How's her blood pressure?" Alex asked Bailey, as he squeezed Lucy's hand.

"Within normal"

"And her incision site?"

"As expected, two weeks after surgery"

"She just got off the IL-2 hours ago. She could still have..."

"Her mets are gone. Her blood pressure's fine. Her incision doesn't hurt", Lucy said, talking about herself in the third person. "She's doing well. It's wedding day! And I'm going to the wedding. I'm a bridesmaid. I'm going. Right, Bailey?"

"I said you could go"

"Wedding day! Up top, Alex!"

She raised her hand for a high five. He ignored her hand and kissed her forehead. "I'll check on you later", he said, before leaving the room. "Come on, don't leave me hanging, Bailey", she said, her hand still raised. "Wedding day!" "Wedding day...", Bailey responded, clapping her hand against hers.

"You just did that 'cause I have cancer. You didn't mean it"

"True"

Bailey left the room. Lucy scratched her head and pulled out a piece of hair. "My hair is starting to fall out", she muttered. "You still look beautiful, princess", her father's voice said. She looked up at him and then down at her hands again. "I know what this means", she said, fiddling with the hair in her hands. "You being here".

"I'm sorry"

"I'm still going to the wedding"

Aurora stood on the catwalk when Owen joined her. They looked at each other for a moment. She cleared her throat and looked away. They were silent for a few moments. "How's it going with your shrink?" she asked.

"I'm doing better. Inch by inch. Progress is slow"

He was silent for a few moments before continuing.

"It was your ceiling fan. Above your bed. Blades spinning like blades of a chopper. My shrink says that was the trigger. To me...choking you"

"Oh"

They were silent again. He inched his hand towards hers until their pinkies were touching. "We should probably get going", she said, pulling her hand away.

Owen came into the trauma room where George was taking care of a resuscitated David. Kelly came into the room with a bag of blood. "I've got blood", she announced.

"Put it in the rapid infuser"

"Are my friends here? Did you see Pete?" David asked. "Which one's Pete?" Kelly asked.
