Here is a truth: Karl is scared
Karl shut the control panel, before looking back over to the three suits that hung by the door. Mocking him, it felt like he was suffocating, a mix of excitement and nervousness drowning him. Two things could happen today, they could make it out of Earth's solar system, and find new life force.
Or, they could freeze to death, starve, suffocate from lack of oxygen once they inevitably run out. Of course, the others probably weren't scared, he was a new recruit. They had been practicing for years while he had only been there for 11 and a half months.
Realising Callahan was staring at him with an eyebrow raised he blushed nervously and took his suit off of it's hanger and ran out of the room.
Here is a lie: Callahan is calm
He knows something will happen, he knows they might die today. But no matter what he knows he will never be able to say it. He's too freaked out to raise his hands and sign without them shaking. He'd been in this place for 4 years, needing a special teacher who knew sign language.
His heart was knocking on his chest as he came into the room, Karl was in there. Glaring at the suits, Callahan raised an eyebrow as he grabbed a suit off of the rack. Karl seemed to snap out of his trance, blinking rapidly, then rubbing his eyes and grabbing his suit then rushing out of the room.
Callahan smiled nervously, at least he's not the only one scared about this.
Here is a half-truth: Ranboo is prepared
Sure, he had been practicing for years, getting ready for this exact day, but of course. His memory always got in the way, always making him forget what to do, how to keep his oxygen going, how to strap on his suit.
Well, today he had a book, a book that he had written in throughout the past 2 years and yet he wasn't sure if it was enough. Wasn't sure it would get him through the 6 months they are going to spend in space.
He slowly opened the door to the changing room, he caught a glimpse of Callahan leaving through another door. He hesitantly took a suit off of the rack and stepped out of the room to change.
Here is a half-lie: Foolish is excited
He could die at any moment, lose his entire laugh in the matter of a second, and yet, here he was, standing infront of the rocket that would take him to space, he has been waiting for two hours, wanting to be the first at the launch sight.
Foolish wasn't excited, but he wasn't called an optimist for nothing. So, he bounced on his feet and told Karl (Who had just come to the launch sight) all the things he hoped to see in space.
A bunch of idiots, off to possibly die, but doing it because humans are too curious for their own good. So here are the four idiots, standing in the launch sight, staring at their possible death.
Woah! Maple updating twice in a day? Now that's impossible.
I'm coming out to y'all as ace, my discord filled my ego so now I'm ready to start coming out to others.
