Chapter 7

A werewolf? Really? I didn't know what to think about that, it took me by surprise.

"I don't believe you."

He seemed frustrated after I said that as he started running his hand through his hair.

"I'll have to show you then." He said, with determination in his voice. "Follow me."

He went down the stairs and then out through the back door and into the woods that were behind my house. He started going deeper and deeper into the woods and I followed him until I couldn't keep up with his pace.

"Can you.. stop for.. a minute? I can't... go so... fast." I tried saying while gasping for air.

"Sorry, I think here will do."

I looked at him confused, what was he talking about? Oh, wait, was he going to turn into that wolf thing? Oh my... was he actually a werewolf? Maybe he was just having a laugh, were are the cameras hiding? I looked around but couldn't find any cameras.

"Elena, I'm going to turn into my wolf now so please don't run away." Omg he was for real wasn't he?

I closed my eyes to not see what was going to happen and I started hearing cracks, as if bones were breaking, it sounded quite painful... The sound stopped and I opened my eyes to see what was going on. As I did, I saw a huge, pure black wolf standing in front of me. It was about the size of a bear, or maybe bigger, and black as coal. When I looked into its eyes they were the same deep blue as Hunter's.

He's a werewolf... How can this be happening?

Wait, he's a good werewolf, right? He's not gonna eat me or something.

I starting backing off and he seemed hurt. "Don't come near me! How do I know you're not going to kill me?" I started panicking, was I going to die? I'm too young for that!

I covered my eyes as he came closer and I kept on going backwards. I was stopped by a tree so I couldn't go any further. Everything went silent so I opened my eyes to find a naked Hunter infront of me, looking in pain.

"Elena I'd never hurt you, you're my mate."

"Stay away from me, you're naked!" I covered my eyes so I wouldn't see anything I shouldn't.

"Come on Elena, you'll have to get used to this sooner or later." He said with a grin on his face.

"I don't have to get used to anything, now cover yourself please." I said still covering my eyes.

"As you please."

I opened my eyes again to find him wearing a pair of jeans. His toned chest was shirtless and I couldn't help but admire his body. Then I remembered that he was a werewolf, omg Hunter's a fucking werewolf!

"You have a lot of explaining to do, starting with how the hell you're a werewolf."

"Well, both my parents are werewolves too so I guess I inherited the gene from them."

How could he be talking about this as if it was normal? I was freaking out!
"This is insane Hunter, how is it even possible? And what do you mean I'm your mate? What even is that?" My head was a mess, it was all so unreal.

"Every werewolf has a mate, like a soulmate. The Moon Goddess gives every werewolf one, it's like destiny. When you find your mate you know straight away, it's almost impossible to stay away from them. They become your everything and makes your life feel whole." He had a tender look on his eyes when he talked.

"But I'm not a werewolf, how can I be your mate?"

"I actually don't know... There might be werewolves in your family tree, I'll have to ask my father about this though."

"Is your father some kind of werewolf encyclopedia?"

"No, but he has been Alpha of my pack for almost 50 years, so he kind of knows a lot."

"Alpha?" What the hell what that?

"Yeah, an Alpha is the leader of the pack, every werewolf in the pack follows the Alpha's rules without arguing, and he is the strongest member of the pack, but of course, every Alpha has its Luna, the female leader of the pack, and you are mine Elena"

There was so much to take in. First of all, Hunter is a werewolf; then, I am his mate; and to top it all off, He is the freaking leader of a pack of werewolfs! I was really starting to like Hunter but maybe this was too much for me to handle.

"Please say something." He looked desperate to know what I was thinking, his eyes were a very light blue and were piercing into mine.

"What do you want me to say? I'm trying to take in everything you just told me."

"Just tell me if you're okay with it, if you want to give it a try at least." He held my hand after saying this and looked deeper into my eyes.

"Will you be my Luna?"

And that's it for chapter 7! I hope you guys liked it, it took me quite a while to write but I managed to upload in less that a week! Yaay!!
