Chapter 2

Abby was waiting for me at the parking lot, where we always met before school.

She looked stunning in those white jeans and pink shirt. Well, she always did no matter what she wore.

She looked up to me with an amused expression. She had a grin on her face which was probably due to my change.

"Wow! Elena you look amazing!" she shouted.

That's when everyone turned around to look at me. The year 13 boys checked me out by looking up and down with a grin of satisfaction in their faces. The girls on the other hand would stare at me with either disgust or admirement in their eyes.

"Abby! did you really have to do that?" I asked her feeling quite uncomfortable

"Of course I had to, now everyone knows how stunning you look."

"Well...let's just go inside. I feel strange with everyone staring."

"Okay, okay. Let's get going."

We finally got inside, but it got worse. There were even more people there! I started panicking when a group of girls stared at me.

"Calm down Elena, they are just jelous. Now, look up and do as if nothing had changed."

I did as Abby told me and it seemed to work. I ignored every glance.

I got to my first lesson, english literature. I sat down at the back so that no one could look at me from behind.

"Is this seat free?"

I suddenly came face to face with the most gorgeous human being I had ever seen. His blue eyes made me feel lost in them, I couldn't stop looking at them.

"Umm.. hello?" the stranger asked.

"Oh sorry! Yes it's free" I replied feeling embarassed.

"Okay.. By the way, my name is Hunter."

"I'm Elena" I said shyly.

"Are you new here? Although it's the last day of school so you got here a bit late" Wait a minute, I thought he was new here.

"What? No, I've been in this school for ages! I thought you were the new one."

He started laughing. What was wrong with this guy?

"I'm sorry but don't you know who I am?" He asked as if I should know.

"Well.. now I know you're Hunter" Stating the obvious.

"That's wierd. Everyone at this school knows who I am"

Was he for real?

"Not everyone as you can see.." I said in an irritated tone. Did he think he was the centre of the universe or what?

"Don't worry you can get to know me if you want" He said with a smirk forming.

Was he trying to seduce me? Because it was working... but no! Elena, stay focused! He's too big headed.

"I think I'll pass" I quickly said and looked away getting ready for the lesson.

It went by quite fast and Hunter didn't make any attemp on talking to me, so it was fine.

I emerged the room and went straight to the cafeteria where Abby was.

"Do you know some guy called Hunter in this school?" I asked her curiously.

"You mean Hunter Mathews?" She looked surprised when she said his name.

"I don't know... blue eyes, dark hair, really tall, lots and lots of muscles..." I was probably drooling while describing him.

"Yeah that's him! Why do you ask?"

"Well he sat next to me on Biology and started talking to me, but I had never seen him before."

"Wait, you talked to him?" She looked at me as if I had won the lottery.

"Yeah.. Why..?"

"He's Hunter Fucking Mathews! The hottest guy on school!" She wasn't lying about him being hot, but she was exagerating a bit.

"Oh come on Abby, he's too big headed! He thinks he's the best" That disgusted me actually, I couldn't stand it.

"I know, but he's still ridiculously hot!"

"But how come I just know of his existence?" It was strange I didn't know of him before, since we went to the same school.

"Well uptil now, you spent all your time in the library and wouldn't show any interest in guys. I guess now you notice them more."

That was true. I would spend all my free time reading and studying in the library. Thank God I had changed! Now I had more of a social life. Though I didn't stop reading home.

"Must be that"

The rest of the day went on quite well. Although I would meet gazes with Hunter in the hallway. It was weird, I had never even noticed him before. And he was... just perfect. But he was probably the typical player who had all the girls he wanted and when he got bored of one, moved on to the next.

Oh well, I wasn't going to think about it anymore. It was finally summer! I had a whole two months to do nothing! What would happen in all this time? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
