Chapter 4

That afternoon I went shopping with Abby.

"Oh god Abby guess what happened this morning.." I told her, her face brightened up when I did.

"What?! Tell me!!" She loved when I told her stuff.

"Well when I was going to go for a swim, I found Hunter and his mother in my kitchen speaking with my mum about a trip they are doing together. They also said that Hunter and I had to stay in the same house while they were away, can you believe it? They are making me stay with him for I don't know how long!"

"And why do you look pissed? That's amazing!" She couldn't be serious.

"Of course it's not! And that's not all! When I was swimming, he came up to me and started speaking to me. He looked... strange... his eyes went all black and I felt something weird." I felt that same sensation just by thinking of it.

"Nawww! You like him you silly girl!" She said to me while pointing her finger at me.

"What? Of course not!" I denied.

I didn't like Hunter. No way. I think. Uggg. This couln't be happening to me, I couldn't fall for him!

When I arrived home I found my parents in the living room. They looked as if they had been waiting for me to arrive.

"Hey I'm back!" I said, stating the obvious.

"We were waiting for you dear, we wanted to tell you about the trip we are doing with the Mathews." My mum said joyfully.

"Okay, tell me"

"Well we will be leaving next week, we are going to Alaska!" My dad exclaimed.

"Alaska? That's quite far away."

"Yeah but the Mathews have a house there so they offered the place. We will be there for two weeks."

"So long?" I asked. Were they gonna leave me with Hunter for two whole weeks?

"Yes dear, don't worry, Hunter will look after you." My mum added.

"Ugg, don't remind me!" I replied and stormed out of the room.

I layed on my bed and thought about this whole situation. My parents were leaving me alone with Hunter in the same house and I had to stand him for two weeks. This was SO not good beacuse I thought I might be falling for him. I had a strange feeling whenever he was near or I thought of him. What was I gonna do?

Suddenly the door bell rang.

I went down stairs to see who it was and founf myself with Hunter and both his parents. What the hell?!

"Elena, me and your dad are going out for dinner with Hunter's parents. Both of you will stay here so you get used to each other for next week." My mum had to come and ruin everything.

"Don't you think we'll have enough of each other during those two weeks?"

"Elena don't be rude! Excuse my daughter's behaviour." There was my dad, trying to look good in front of people.

"Whatever" I just went over to the living room and turned the TV on.

There was nothing good on TV so I decided to watch a movie. I got out Titanic. I love how Leonardo looks in that film.

Just as the movie was starting, Hunter came in and sat next to me. His side was touching mine and I could feel tingles. What was wrong with me? I never in my life had felt this way for a guy.

"What are you watching?" He asked curiously.

"Titanic"

"Oh come on, let me choose a decent one!" He said with a smirk on his face.

"No way! We are watching this!" I added with determination.

"I'm not taking any of that, we're watching a horror movie."

"I won't be able to sleep at night!" I whined.

"Don't worry kitten, I'll protect you." He said with some tenderness in his voice.

His blue eyes were glowing, see? I knew they were blue!

"Why were your eyes black this morning?" I asked him, changing subject.

"What? Umm must've been the lighting.." He replied, he looked nervous.

I wanted to ask him why he was so nervous, but I decided to drop the subject.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Why was he asking me this?

"No"

"Good, cause you're mine" He whispered under his breath, but I still heard him.

"What? I'm not yours!"

"No! no! sorry! I didn't meen to say that." I internally laughed at his answer.

"Oh okay."

He got up and put the film 'The conjuring'. I was sure gonna get nightmares that night.

"Oh Hunter, you're gonna stay awake all night if I get nightmares."

"That's fine by me." Why was he being so nice to me? He didn't even know me.

The film had already finished and I found myself in Hunter's arms. I don't know why, but it felt right when I was so near to him.

I quickly moved away, well that was awkward.

"Umm, I'm going up stairs to get changed. You can come and wait outside my room, just in case a ghost decides to come for me." God that movie left me with a trauma.

"Haha, did that really scare you?"

I ignored his question and went upstairs. After a few seconds, he came after me.

I put on my tight black pijama shorts and a pijama top with a heart in the middle. When I looked at it I thought it was too revealing, as Hunter would be able to see my butt, but oh well who cared.

When I came out, Hunter started checking me out and his eyes turned black.

I decided to ignore it.

"Well you can come in now if you want." I didn't want be be alone after watching that movie.

"You know kitten, it's a little early for that.." He teased.

"Oh come on Hunter, I just want you to stay, I don't want be alone after the movie you made me watch.

"Okay then, as you please."

I got into bed and Hunter just sat on a chair next to me.

It was all so quiet and suddenly the noise of thunder invaded my room.

"OH MY GOD HUNTER MAKE IT STOP!" I screamed. Thunder was one thing I couldn't bear.

Hunter came up to me and held my hand. His face showed worry.

"Don't worry kitten, I'm here with you." He told me soothingly. This seemed to calm me down.

Then another strike of thunder came and I jumped up. Hunter noticed this and held my hand even tighter. I was breathing heavily and Hunter's expression looked even more worried.

"Move up, I'm getting in there with you." I didn't hesitate, I needed someone near.

He got his shirt off and got inside my bed. Oh god he was so freaking hot... He came closer to me and as the next strike of thunder came, I leaned into him and burried my head in his chest. He put his arms over my waist and held me tight.

We stayed like this for quite long until I finally fell asleep.

Before totally dazing off, I heard him say something like "Good night little mate." What was that supposed to mean?
