A/N: Here's chapter 5. Enjoy, people.

It is heart-breaking to be unheard.

Chris:

"Guys, where's Arya?" Caleb asked, once Isaac had finished his lecture.

"Maybe she's in the guest room. I'll go check." I went upstairs and opened the door.

"Hey Arya-" I stopped short. She was lying on the bed, her knees brought underneath her chin, arms wrapped tightly around them.

I sighed and pulled the blanket over her slightly shivering body. I smiled when she relaxed, pulled into a memory.

"Hey Kit!" Arya shouted from the top of the hill. I'd given her three packets of Skittles- her favourite sweet- and she now had a sugar rush.

While I was huffing and puffing after walking for so long, she was sprinting ahead and getting distracted by the smallest things.

I waved weakly, feeling myself evaporate in the heat. "Hey Skittle!"

"I'm the Queen of the castle!" She shouted, her voice echoing in the empty valley. By now, I'd reached the foot of the mound, not looking forward to the ascent.

"Kit!" Her voice called excitedly, "there's a really cool flower over here!"

"Where?" I asked tiredly.

"Just down- ARGHHH!"

"ARYA!" I screamed, running up the hill. Adrenaline and fear coursed through my veins, removing all traces of tiredness. I reached the top and saw her dangling off the edge, holding on by her fingertips to a piece of jutting out rock.

I hauled her up and we collapsed, breathing heavily.

"Thank you." She whispered, hugging me. "Thank you."

I encircled her waist with my arms. "Any time Skittle."

"Chris," Caleb's amused voice snapped me out of my reverie. "Are you just gonna stand there, staring at Arya like some creepy stalker or...?"

I scowled. "I wasn't staring, I zoned out."

He smirked. "Shore, shore. Now come on, Isaac called a meeting and we're waiting for you."

Jacob:

After talking to Arya, my heart felt much lighter. I contacted my best friend- she was a world class hacker and if anyone could find Arya, it would be her.

"Hey Jess, the greatest human being in the world!" I said cheerfully.

"What do you want?" Her tired voice replied.

"How do you know I want something?"

"Because you praised me. You never do that unless you want something." I could hear the smirk in her voice.

"Okay, you got me." I relented, "Can you track down my sister?"

"Sure." She said, "But I'll need something to go off- like a phone call."

"I called her just a few minutes ago- can you use that?" I bit my lip nervously while waiting for her answer.

"Yeah, I- TOUCH MY OREOS AND I WILL END YOU!" She shouted at someone. I shuddered. Who would be stupid enough to steal Jess' Oreos?

"Come round to mine and I'll see what you've got." She said breezily. "See you later!"

"Bye." I chuckled, ending the call. I went downstairs and heard hushed voices of my parents and Marigold. Naturally, I slowed down and tried to listen.

What I heard made my eyes widen and jaw drop, anger clouding my senses. I swallowed harshly and ran outside, a heavy pit of dread settled in my stomach.

Chris:

We gathered round the ping pong table in the games room, a heavy silence filling the room.

"So," Isaac cleared his throat. "I've called a meeting to discuss what to do about Arya."

"Kill her." Ethan said immediately.

"Nick, can you do the honours?" Isaac sighed.

"Sure." Nick slapped Ethan upside the head.

"Ow!" He rubbed it, glaring at him. "What the hell was that for?"

"Being stupid." Nick replied promptly. "We can't kill her for two reasons. One, her family is very famous, so there'd be a huge investigation- which isn't worth it. And two, Chris would kill us." I shrugged, not denying it.

"So, what do we-" Isaac was cut off by the phone ringing. His eyebrows furrowed and he picked it up, putting it on speaker. "Who is this?"

"Hi. I'm Jacob- is Arya there?" A frantic voice said.

"As in, Arya's brother?" Isaac asked, confused. "How did you manage to recontact this number?"

"I have a friend. Look, I need to speak to Arya."

Isaac gestured for Caleb to go get her. A minute later, she appeared, rubbing her eyes blearily.

"What's going on?" She yawned.

"Your brother wants to talk." Caleb explained.

She frowned and looked at the phone. "Jake?"

"Arya!" He sighed in relief. "Look, are you in any immediate danger?"

"What?"

"Like have your kidnappers intentionally hurt you or done something bad to you during your stay with them?"

Gingerly, she touched her head. "Uhhhh... not really?"

"That's- that's good enough. I think you should stay with them for a bit."

"What?! Why?!" She exclaimed in disbelief.

"Our parents have put you in an arranged marriage."
