Pain can't be described in words.
(One month later)
Arya:
"Mr and Mrs. McKenzie along with the influential business man, Gio Mantennii, have been arrested for attempting to wed their underage children to each other. The police have also conducted a thorough search of the Mantenii, he turned out to have been leeching money from his clients and working with the drug cartel- Les Diables."
I sighed and looked through the glass paned walls of the little cafe, unable to believe how much my life had changed in the past month. Sunlight streamed through the casement and I titled my head back slightly, enjoying the warm rays that splayed over my face.
"It's been a month, do they have anything else to talk about?"
I grinned at the dark-haired man who slid in the seat opposite me. His hair was disheveled and there were rings under his eyes, but he looked happier than I've ever seen him.
"Cheekbones." I greeted. "Yeah the news is still pretty big. I'm sure the pizazz will die down any day now."
He shook his head and sighed. "Somehow, I doubt that." But he smiled at me. "How ya been, Greenie?"
I let out a deep sigh and leaned back in my chair . "Okay I guess... I mean, the trial was pretty tiring, but the boys have been so supportive... and you too." I reached over and squeezed his hand. "Thank you."
He shrugged, a little bashful. "No need to thank me... just doing what friends do. Oh, by the way, I got that information you wanted." From the folds of his coat pocket, he took out a green envelope and handed it to me.
My lips curled upwards. "Thanks, I appreciate it."
Lucas hesitated for a second. "Um... if you don't mind me asking, what do you want this information for? And... why did you ask me for it? The others would've just as easily got it for you as well."
I took a sip of my coffee and stared out of the window, at all the people bustling about their day. I shook my head and closed my eyes slightly. "It doesn't matter." I answered quietly. Clearing my throat, I tried to uplift the atmosphere. "So, how is your business going?"
His eyes lit up and he launched into an explanation about the company he'd inherited from his father. With tremendous skill, he'd managed to rebuild it from the ashes and still keeps it running smoothly- despite the many enemies and rumours that lurk in the shadows. I smiled and nodded along, but my thoughts were not focused on the conversation.
I'd told Lucas the reason I needed the information didn't matter.
But to me, it fucking did.

Unknown POV:
I leaned back in my chair, studying the screen in front of me intently. It was a footage of six men and one woman being accosted by reporters in front of a courthouse. They were shielding a woman from the onslaught of camera flashes and questions.
"Pause the video." I ordered and my assistant immediately did so. I jerked my head a little. "Who's the girl?"
I heard her sharp nails tap on the iPad. After a few seconds, she cleared her throat and adjusted her dark glasses before speaking. "Arya McKenzie- eighteen years old. Has an older sister, well known fashion icon Marigold McKenzie who recently gave up her billionaire business to become a doctor, and a younger brother- Jacob McKenzie. Does quite well in school, but missed the last few months due to some mystery illness, but she managed to pass all the exams and graduate. Police suspect that her mother and stepfather- Celia and Timothy McKenzie- were keeping the girl captive at those times."
I took a sip of alcohol and swirled the amber liquid in my glass. "Is she close to the 'Hell's Angels'?"
"Yes, actually- particularly the leaders. She also is extremely good friends with Red Devil."
I nodded and narrowed my eyes at the dark haired woman. "How interesting..."
