As Minho left the cafeteria and followed after Jisung and Minjun, he didn't waste any time by catching up on them. "Lee Minjun," he shouted, it echoing through the whole hallway.
Both boys turned around upon hearing Minjun's name being called out for everyone to hear, although there weren't that many people in the hallway—it was still lunch time after all.
Before Minjun saw it coming, as he turned around, Minho punched him in the face. Minjun's face flew sideways as the received punch was unexpected, and quite hard as well. He spit out a bit of blood as he turned to look at who punched him, seeing Minho standing there with raised eyebrows. He let out a slight chuckle, "Guess I deserved that,"
Jisung gasped as his eyes widened, a lot. "Oh my god, Minho what the hell! What did you do that for?" he said as he stood there, not knowing what to do exactly.
Minho didn't say anything. He looked over towards Jisung as he stared into his eyes for a few seconds. Then he looked back over towards Minjun, glaring at him. "An eye for an eye," he said towards Minjun.
As Minho's anger left his body, his annoyance stayed present. He cooled off and continued, "Also... don't play games, cous',"
Jisung just looked at the two of them, frowning. To him it seemed as if the two were familiar with one another. He wondered what the hell was going on. "Why am I always the one who's clueless," he wondered.
Minho continued saying whatever he wanted to say, "Don't you think it's a bit pathetic? Using someone else to get back at me?" he sighed. "Grow up and get over it," Whatever 'it' is.
As a matter of fact, Minho and Minjun have known each other for a very long time. That shouldn't sound very strange as they were cousins. The person in front of Minho was the brother of his other cousin, who had called him that same morning—who is in college.
Minjun didn't like Minho, for a very good reason—in his opinion. The latter was that one friend he once had. The friend who got paid by his parents. The friend who's parents asked his own parents for money. Minho's parents wouldn't let their son play with him, unless Minjun's parent paid them money.
That is what Minjun's parents told him, so that was what he believed. When he found out about it, he was really angry and started to loathe Minho and his parents.
But that's only one side of the story. Saying that, it wasn't necessarily true.
Minho's mother and Minjun's mother were sisters. So they were related on their mothers' side. The fact was that the two sisters never really got along very well.
Minho's mother didn't like her sister as she was very pretentious and had once tried to ruin a part of her life. As for Minjun's mother, she didn't like her sister because she was a know-it-all and felt like she never had to work for the things she achieved in life—she was envious.
The two of them, after moving out of their parents' household, had never contacted one another again. Until Minjun's mother appeared back into her sister's life, offering her and her husband money for their son—Minho—to play with their own son—Minjun—as they had found out they were the same age. They stooped that low because they homeschooled Minjun, wanting to have control over his studies and the people he befriended, meaning outside influences—since she couldn't control her oldest son's life. Yet that left their son with no friends at all, so she was desperate.
As Minho's mother wouldn't accept her sister's offer nor money, Minho had overheard them. The small boy, who didn't have many friends at that young age either, appeared behind his mother and jumped up in excitement—and into his mother's arms. Minho wanted to play with someone as well, so he asked his mother why he couldn't. Minho was about six years old, so he wouldn't have understood.
