Kurt and Mercades had been planning.

It was a plan of great wickedness and evil, so naturally, it revolves around Nat. They wanted her to be happy. And these days, no one made Nat as happy had Quinn did. So, they decided to hatch Mission: Help a Girl Out. It was basically them playing matchmaker and slightly forcing Quinn and Nat together.

That was why they were all giggly and happy when Quinn sat next to Nat during Glee.

"Okay, guys, listen up. This is Mr. Ryan. He’s a member of the school board, and he would like to say a few words. I-I just want you guys to listen critically and know that what he’s saying is just one of many opinions." Schue looks around nervously, then lets Bryan Ryan take the stage.

"Take out a piece of paper. And on that paper, I want you to write down your biggest dream. A dream that means so much, you’re afraid to admit it even to yourself."

Nat glances at Quinn. She feels a flurry of mixed emotions. Was he gonna make them read aloud? Or was it a threaputic thing? This wouldn't be a bad way to confess your feelings... would it? Reluctantly, Nat wrote down Quinn's name in tiny handwriting, before writing Family on the page.

While Nat was having a slight crisis, Quinn was figuring out what to write. Sure, there was the small, but slightly big dream that she had where her and Nat buy a farm and move out to the countryside with their three dogs and two kids. But that was just a dream... She tried to think of any dreams that don't involve Nat, but nothing but a boring life came to mind. Sighing, she writes down Nat's name in the corner of her sheet, in tiny handwriting, before writing No Stretch Marks down on her paper.

Ryan goes over to Artie and crumples up his paper, "Your dream is never going to happen. Ninety one percent of you will spend your entire lives living in Allen County, Ohio. So unless you wrote down that your dream was to “work for a mid-market health insurance provider” or “find an entry level job in an elderly care facility,” you’re going to be very disappointed."

"You're really bumming me out, man." Nat sighs, looking at Quinn, trying to sneak a glance of what she wrote.

"I’m going to guess that a lot of your dreams involve “showbiz.” Well, let me tell you. Showbiz dreams are the most unrealistic of them all."

Tina looks upset, "But… that’s what I want to do with my life."

"Oh, look, I’m not trying to hurt your feelings, I’m just trying to spare you disappointment." Ryan said condesendingly.

Nat didn't appreciate the man's brutal honesty, "You obviously haven't seen the amount of talent we all have then. First of all, Rachel is gonna make it big on broadway, so is Tina. Mercedes is going to be a famous pop singer. Finn is going to be the next big thing, whether it be singing or something else. Kurt is going to join the opera or whatever. Brit and Santana are going to  be showgirls in Las Vegas. Artie is going to be the world's greatest disabled preformer. Mike is gonna be a professional dancer. And let me tell you, Fabray is gonna rule the world, stretch mark free." Somewhere in her rant, Nat had stood up, and walked towards Ryan.
