𝐉𝐉 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 a person who never showed many emotions, people have seen him angry, they've seen him jealous, hell they've seen him happy. One emotion many people didn't see in him was sadness.

Until John B died.

JJ was usually bubbly and social, though he was sour to people he didn't particularly like, most times you could see him with a smile on his face. Even after all he'd been through with his dad.

But despite his efforts to keep it hidden, the boy was a wreck. The dark circles under his eyes can be either from lack of sleep or the extensive crying he spent doing while living in the chateau.

No one knew what he was really thinking or feeling and anyone who dared to ask was shut down immediately. He'd tell them to mind their own business or fuck off, there was no other reaction.

Francine knew the boy would overcome this sadness, the despair, he always had. He was strong and she admired him for that, but she knew he was having a hard time, especially living part-time in John B's house.

She was informed by Kiara on her way home the day before that JJ was done with his father, the man had beat him the worse he had in a long time. So since the man is in jail, he decided to stay in John B's, having more family there than he ever did at home.

She couldn't help but feel horribly sad for the boy, Kiara had taken her for a ride after they left the chateau, the girl filling her in on the more detailed version of what happened. After John B got lost at sea, JJ didn't have anyone to comfort him after getting the news. Kiara's family had shown up, Pope's family had shown up, but he had no one. She silently thanked Heyward for bringing the boy into a hug after seeing his lack of family members.

Francine wished she was there, not because she'd wanted to witness everything, but to show JJ that she was there, she wouldn't let him be alone.

But how bad was she? She wasn't there, just like his father hadn't been.

She mentioned that to Kiara who had gotten irritated and told her to not say things like that, it wasn't her fault.

She couldn't help it though, she always felt horrible about things she couldn't control.

So, in an effort to go make sure the boy had company, Francine planned to go visit him the next day after school.

She didn't know what would happen when she went but she wanted to help him during his grieving process as much as possible. She wasn't sure how bad he was taking this. She had a feeling that it was bad but she didn't want to make assumptions after one interaction with him. Especially if it was on the same day as John B's memorial.

Katerina didn't say anything when she got home, far later than when Francine had arrived at the mansion. She just asked the teen how her day was over dinner and that was it. Christopher hadn't said much either, he served the food he had cooked, talked to her mother but not many words were spoken to Francine.

Her mother had also mentioned that Nathan was asking about her. Francine had felt bad once the woman said his name, with all the stuff going on she had completely forgotten about her newfound friend...

She didn't even know how to explain her relationship with the boy. It began as a potential attraction, but that idea was shot down by the coke incident at the party.

Francine didn't like him for a while, then the two formed an alliance over their mutual dishonesty towards their parents.

So she didn't really know if a friend was the right way to explain how they were with each other.
