SHE WAS ON a cloud.

Knock

An arm tightened around her.

Knock, knock.

"Francine Castle if you don't open this goddamn door I'll kick it down."

The girl groaned, rolling over to shove her face into her pillow.

Only she wasn't met with the soft comfort of her pillow, but a hard chest.

Knock, knock, knock.

The familiar yet foreign feeling caused Francine's eyes to shoot open. Pushing herself up onto her elbows, she glanced down at the person under her, ahead of blonde hair came into view. JJ was sleeping peacefully, not even stirring at her movements nor all the commotion coming from her mother.

That one thought of the dreadful woman made the teen want to shove her face into a pillow and cry.

The knocks kept coming at the door, panic soon making its way to her chest. JJ was in her bed, Katerina was outside yelling out incoherently as she banged on the door. This was not a good combination.

In fear of what the outcome might be, the girl quickly shook the boy awake. He didn't budge, only squeezing his eyes shut more and pulling her closer to him.

As he did this, her mother still wasn't letting up, her voice ringing from the other side of the door again, "Open. The. Door."

"JJ," She hissed, trying to wake the boy. "Get the fuck up."

He groaned, very loudly, turning over in bed, sending Francine under him. He kept his arms wrapped around her waist, shoving his face into her neck, leaving light kisses over the skin.

"Just a few minutes, your mom will leave you alone soon," He whispered, planting a chaste kiss on her lips. "Trust me."

Francine wanted to trust him, she really did, but she knew her mother and what extent the woman would go through. She wasn't worried over the fact that Katerina would find a pogue in her room, in her bed, she could care less about the whole prejudiced thing Katerina has going on. She was worried over the fact that her mom was finding a boy in her bed, any mother would be livid.

The girl had a feeling that JJ was in fact wrong about what might happen, so in an effort to get him out before her mother found him, which would most likely lead to him being killed, she flipped them over. The boy huffed as his back hit the mattress, his eyes shooting downwards to meet Francine's, who was sitting on him, straddling his waist,

Before he could move or stop her next movements, the girl jumped off him, throwing his discarded shirt towards him.

"Hurry the fuck up before she beats the door down," She tried to whisper but the panic and adrenaline moving through her veins made her voice come out louder than expected. She silently hoped that the woman's knocking would be too loud for her to hear her voice.

JJ rolled his eyes at her words, "You're no fun."

Francine shook her head, knowing that this wasn't the time for him to be joking around. She watched as he slipped the shirt over his head, walking towards the window. Too slow for her liking.

The knocks against the door ceased, and Francine hoped her mother was just getting tired of making her life miserable.

"Who are you talking to?" The woman's voice seemed to get even angrier with each word.
