Charlie was pulling her hair into a secured French braid, the tension in the locker room being at an all-time high.

The rest of the group had been told about Cris and Burke's medical faux-pas; how's he'd allowed her to operate in his stead due to his tremor.

The British girl sighed in annoyance, not understanding the slight hypocrisy being displayed by her friends. They'd all so readily forgiven Izzie, when what she had done, and subsequently forced them al. to be accomplices to, was actually illegal.

Cris' situation was different. It was wrong, yes. Wrong, and ethically grey, but it wasn't actually illegal, nor had it caused the death of any patients.

"Maybe she'll be on 'look but don't touch' patrol too. At least I'll have some company." Mumbled the former model spitefully, causing Charlie to shoot her a glare.

The look moved fiercely to Alex when he grumbled, "Whatever she gets I hope its bad. Really bad."

Smacking him angrily atop  the head, the British girl whispered, "Watch it."

Mer meanwhile, sighed tiredly, "She made a mistake, we all make..."

"A mistake?" Interrupted George in anger, "She was going to let Burke, Burke with the shaky hand operate on my father."

The curly-haired intern chose that moment to walk despondently into the locker room. Noticing the tense silence and angry gazes directed her way, she hissed out, "Could you stop looking at me like that? It's creepy, and makes you look like you haven't been fed."

The interns filed out, leaving behind Cris and her two people.

Stepping up to her hesitantly, Meredith questioned softly, "So how's it going?"

"How's what going?"

"You and Burke? Are you okay?"

Sighing, the dark-haired woman answered sadly, "We're existing in total silence."

Looking at her, Charlie's eyes widened, "he's not talking to you? Because you don't deserve too be blamed for this. It takes two to tango and all."

"Well I'm not speaking to him either." She reasoned in response.

"Well, are you okay?" Continued the youngest calmly.

"Stop asking me that."

Glancing at her fellow blonde, Mer explained, "Making an effort here."

Looking at them sternly, though there was a hint of gratefulness in her gaze, Cris snapped, "Please don't." Just as the doors opened and Bailey informed them, "Rounds started 30 seconds ago."

As both blondes left the room, the resident rounded on her last intern, saying, "The chief may be confused about punishment for you but I'm not. You're late again, you will find yourself another resident."
