I had a resulution.
To go in the attic.
Don't call me mad, because I'm far from it. I always wanted to - but too scared. But now? Nows different. I had my bags ready and packed...Ready to embark on a new adventure. But i had to check - or else I'd never live it down. Right before the bell went, I crept into the hallway, peering around me incase anyone was there. It took a while to get 7 floors up but it didnt tire me out one bit. After ten minutes i became face to face with the grand attic large double doors. There was some writing above it saying: Enter At Your Own Risk.
Well, that's nice.
I pull with all my strength to force the handle open - its stiff as a rock. I close my eyes, and with all my energy, kick the door open. That will do. Since it was winter, the sky got pitch black by 6 o'clock. So it's not exactly easy to see. I remember the same thought in my head again and again and again.
What in the world am I doing here?
I creep up some creaky stairs, only about 5, until I'm level with the horrible smell of dust and mystery. I walk slowly, keeping it careful not to let the floorboards give away under my weight. The dust was literally suffocating me to death. The warmth of my skin had far already lingered away. Using my sense, I slowly dodged the cardboard boxes in my way. I felt my way to the end of the attic, at least some light coming through the dim window above. I stared around for a while, and rested my eyes on a different cardboard box, a doll with a perfect face laid on top of it. The doll had golden curly hair, bright green eyes, and long black eyelashes. I could tell it was victorian, it had a red pinafore with a puffy blouse underneath. The doll had round button black shoes and little white socks - she was adorable. I carefully picked her up. She wasn't soft and cuddly. She was made of rock hard clay. She was defiantly handmade. I turned her around and so, examining her flawless appearance and fingering her clothing fabric. The dust had made its way into my nostrils, and my eyes were burning. There was nothing here anyway, so I decided to just go. Leaving the way I came, I sensed a movement behind me. I froze. I slowly turned my head around. Nothing was braced to attack. Slender man wasn't stalking me. The exorcist wasn't brutally murdering me. It was just the schools attic. Aqua, your so freaking paranoid, I think, and clench the door handle, and give a sharp twist. It Doesn't move. I'm meant to have vampire strength or whatever, so why isn't it working? I give 10 failed attempts at opening the steel hard door. I gave up and started shouting for help. Well, giving note that I could never possibly be heard from a mile away. Yeah.
It had passed 2 hours, nothing had happend. Well, it was my birthday and I hadn't seen my friends all day - dont cha think that would be a bit suspicious? The dust wouldn't let me breathe, it was suffocating me slowly and painfully. And it was a possibility I was in the same room as the exorcist. Happy birthday Aqua, have a nice day. Hope all your wishes come true. Hope you get what you wanted. Finally, my Aqua 18! Lets buy you a car and send you to Oxford university - or Cambridge. Lets give you keys to a new home! Lets give you a million pound bracelet! I struggle to think of what more my parents could say to me if they were alive. Sigh. I don't know where the hell Asher is, having a party? In the bedroom with Layla? Ew, enough said, that's just freaking disgusting. No offence Layla.
I stare at the window. It's my only chance to get out of this killing room. It's a hope, right? I clamp the handle that my knuckles turn white, and push it open. Ironically, it unlatches. I hitch myself up and perch on the side of the window. I realise I'm shaking when I look down. I swing my legs over and slide down a centre meter by minute.
I'm stupid. Stupid. Plain S T U P I D. stupid girl. Stupid vampire freak. Stupid mind. Stupid. Stupid life.
I was stupid for thinking I was stupid.
