Ark

We walked for what seemed like miles before we even got a glimpse of the city.

"You know, I don't think I've ever walked this much in my life."
"That's a pretty good life."
"Well, you're lucky you missed it. Here's an idea. What if you enchant me and you could walk for both of us? I'd take a nap in my subconscious and you could just wake me when we arrive. Yeah?"
"Yeah, that not how enchantment works."
"All right, how does it work?"
"Doesn't matter."
"You know, I feel like I've told you so much about me. I really don't know the first thing about you."
"Thanks for the tactical advantage."

"Ah, so, you want to use that tactical advantage to kill me when the TVA shows up."

"Worried, are you? Since I know your weakness." I pursed my lips. She is not my weakness...

"I need to know if I can trust you."

"Okay fine." She sighs. "You want to know how enchantment works. I have to make physical contact and then grab hold of their mind."

"How?"

"It depends on the mind. Most are easy and I can overtake them instantly. Others, the stronger ones, it gets tricky. I'm in control, but they're there, too. In order to preserve the connection, I have to create a fantasy from their memories."

"And you call me a magician." She's incredible... "What did you show Nedra?" She raised a brow. "My... the blue girl." Sylvie nodded.

"I had her escaping those horrid people, instead of being captured by the TVA. I showed her a life she could of had." Sylvie started to shake her head. "But that soldier from the TVA, her mind was messed up. Everything clouded. I had to pull a memory from hundreds of years prior, before she even fought for them." I stopped in my tracks.

"What? What did you say?" I stopped her. "Before she joined the TVA?"

"Yeah. She was just a regular person on Earth."
"A regular person?"
"Loved margaritas."
"I was told that everyone who works for the TVA was created by the Time-Keepers."
"That's ridiculous. They're all variants, just like us."
"They don't know that." The speaker from the city began to announce.

"That's our ride." Sylvie said and we both started running.
....

"Final boarding calls." The announcement said.

"Do we trust each other?" Sylvie asks as we walk down a tunnel.

"We do and you can."

"Good. Because this is gonna suck." We walked out and everyone was chanting let us on.

"Let's go around." Sylvie pulled me.

We started to find our way around the guards towards the ark. It was like a maze and guards kept appearing to keep us away.

The planet above is cracked open and sent more meteors towards us, bombing the city.

"We can still make it!" I yelled. The ship states it's thrusters. "Sylvie come on!" We ran and fought off guards.
