SHORTER CHAPTER FOR NOW.

"And where would I be, feeling lonely

Separated from my one and only

And what's there left to say?

Far as I can tell that day

Could be on its way

So please don't take my love away

Let my baby stay ."

Mac Demarco, Let My Baby Stay.

Timeskip: 4 days later.

Things were starting to get tense... Edward was gone, and Bella was getting more suspicious. And I knew she would try to get answers out of me eventually.

I didn't know where I was... it was as if my sight was removed. The movements my body was making were not of my own. I had no control over them. The rooms I was in were pitch black and all I could hear were thundering footsteps on metal. Soon enough my vision began to lighten up, but it was still blurred. I could tell I was running but it seemed unnatural...it wasn't a normal speed that a human could experience. I saw a man, he looked like a security guard running away from me, a look of horror was plastered on his face. My throat began to burn and a growl bubbled out of it. I saw the security guard jump down a small platform, suddenly, two other figures ran ahead of me, they were both men. I turned my head to the side and saw Grimsham on the metallic wall.

"Grisham, what am I doing here? That's all the way in Mason county." I thought to myself.

I finally caught up to the other two men with me, we had made it outside. The security guard was still running. Suddenly, I jumped up, flying a few feet in the air before landing in front of him. The man stumbled back, his eyes widened with fear and sweat dripped down his face. I felt a sadistic smirk make its way onto my face before I kicked him onto the ground. The two men pounced on him seemingly mauling him to death. I should've run away in horror or tried to stop them but I couldn't. I reached down and grabbed for him, I glanced at my hands and immediately noticed they weren't mine. They were way paler, chalky looking even... I wasn't in my own body.

I shot up and gasped, I looked down on myself... each of my features had returned. I was no longer as pale or chalky. I sighed in relief and collapsed on the bed... I looked to the side to see the sheets ruffled where Jasper once was... he must've left in the night. For once, I was thankful he wasn't there... I didn't exactly feel like getting interrogated over something... it was just a dream, a figment of my imagination. I jumped out of bed and threw on some clothes quickly, I had slept in a little longer than I had intended to. I was just closing the front door when I heard a gasp and a thud. I had to bite back a laugh, knowing Bella had fallen once again. I heard a truck door close and my dad had jumped out of it and jogged toward her to help her up.

"You all right?" He asked in a worrying voice.

"Yeah, I'm good, Ice doesn't really help the uncoordinated." Bella grumbled.

"Hey, dad...where were you this morning?" I asked approaching them both.

"Hey Petal, I was down at the auto shop, I got chains for your guy's tires... yours are good for right now... they'll probably need to get changed in a week." Dad explained to me.'

"Thanks, dad... you didn't have to do that." I said gratefully.

"Yeah, thanks." Bella mumbled.

We all stood in silence for a few seconds, glancing at one another.

"Well, probably be late for dinner. I gotta head down to Mason County. A security guard at the Grisham Mill got killed by some kind of animal."

My heartbeat rapidly picked up, my cold hands began to feel clammy.

"How did I see that happen... it wasn't an animal dad...it was "human." I thought to myself.

"An animal?" Bella said in a strange tone.

"You're not in Phoenix anymore, Bells. Anyway, I figured I'd lend a hand love, you guys." Dad said

"Love you too dad." I replied.

"Be careful," Bella added.

"Always am."

"And thanks for the tires." Bella said awkwardly."

"Yeah." dad said. We all then got into our cars.

They sure know how to hold onto a conversation well...

My head was full of thoughts... it was as if they were all yelling at me. Burning my mind and curiosity, and playing with my fear and confusion.

How did I see that attack?

I went into my usual parking spot in the back lot and rested my head on the wheel... It felt like I was almost asleep when I heard a tap on my window. I turned my head, seeing a familiar set of golden eyes, and curly blonde hair. I smiled at him and opened the door, he backed up and waited for me to get out.

"What's wrong?" He asked immediately.

"Nothing... just tired... and tired of interrogations." I half lied... I was getting interrogated every day it felt like... I didn't need to tell Jasper about this now, he had enough to worry about.

"Don't worry darlin' hopefully your sister will drop this curiosity soon." He said, giving me a gentle smile.

"Yeah, it probably will... come on let's go in." I pulled him toward the stairs, we only walked up two steps when he stopped and whipped his head around. A deadly look was plastered on his face... his eyes filled with malice and intensity. My eyes followed the path of his... it led right to a freaked-out-looking Bella who turned around again. Her gaze leaving ours.

"Jaz... you didn't have to do that, besides I think I can handle my boney twin sister." I joked, finally pulling him into the building.

"Her emotions were making me sick... they were all directed toward you. Envy, malice, hatred... all of them were intense. Ugh, they gave me a mingrane" Jasper said, his stature had tensed up and his face was locked into an anger-ridden position.

I sighed and pecked his cheek hoping to calm him down.

"Come on love...it's okay," I said in a calming voice.

"Okay... you're really eager to start that history test aren't you?" Jasper replied, a smirk was back on his face.

I whined.

"Great now I got a migraine... damn test." I jokingly stomped my way to the classroom and sat down.

When the teacher passed the test out... I just couldn't concentrate on the questions I was trying to read.

"Who was America named after?"

"Name differences between Federalist and Anti-Federalist."

"Where is the Hudson river located at?"

I couldn't get the images out of my mind of that poor man. His blood leaked out of his cheeks, the tears that hadn't been shed were still in his eye sockets... the look of horror now permanently fixated on his face... and I remember the feeling I had when I sunk my teeth into his neck...

It was one of enjoyment...and ecstasy.
