Over the weeks that passed by, the four new Gryffindor boys and Persephone Riddle became closer.
There were rarely times they weren't seen together with Daniel smirking arrogantly, Lawliet snickering, Jack and Perse cackling uncontrollably and Alex shaking his head in amusement. Coincidentally (I think not), they had almost all of their classes together.
The girl seemed especially close to Dan, which was something Harry didn't really appreciate.
"It's ridiculous really," Harry ranted to Hermione. "It's not like he doesn't flirt with her. That's like all he ever does. But she doesn't mind it! It's infuriating!"
"Harry, I'm studying." Hermione simply said, as she went back to talking to Aries.
At the start of October, Perse had something else to occupy her, something that made her so excited that Dan had once muttered to the other boys, "She's gone completely off the deep end hasn't she?"
The Quidditch season was approaching, and Dan did regret saying that when he found out. Perse kept mentioning how they were going to crush Gryffindor this year as well like they did in first year, unlike second year when the Quidditch Cup was cancelled. (Jack and Dan were not happy about this)
Perse was even more happy when Rosella informed her that their first Hogsmeade weekend was on her birthday. "Dan, you'll come with me won't you? You promised me a trip to Honeydukes." Persephone asked.
"So eager to spend time with me, are you?" Dan smirked, resulting in Persephone whacking the back of his head with a rolled up issue of the Daily Prophet. "I will be there, 10 am." Dan said.

Perse walked quietly, even though they had been told to go to the Great Hall. Apparently, Sirius Black had attacked. Perse knew she should have been feeling a bit more scare. She couldn't. Somehow, something in her wouldn't let her.
Perse suddenly heard a noise. A dog? She turned around to find nothing. She decided to come back to the Great Hall. She didn't want any more mysteries this year. After last year, she had had enough.
Perse hurried and cast a disillusionment charm on herself as she sneaked to the Great Hall.
"I know you were out." a voice suddenly said from behind her as she snuggled into sleeping bag.
"Potter, you're being a real creep at the moment, you do know that, right?" Perse said annoyed.
"I was not! But that's not the point. You aren't supposed to be out!" Harry whispered.
"Since when are you such a goody-two shoes?"Perse remarked just as quietly.
"I'm not! I was just asking! " Harry protested.
"Oh, I'm sorry, your Highness, the Boy-Who-Lived, I shouldn't have been rude. I was just saying Hello, to Sirius Black. He's an old friend." Perse mocked.
"Will you just-" Harry huffed annoyed and turned his back on her.
Perse smirked and closed her eyes to sleep.
