One Whole Week... (Nanami x Reader) (One Bed Trope)

Mending (pt. 2)

Nanami POV
"..Nanami... Nanami!! Why couldn't you protect me? You promised!! Nanamiiiii...."

I gasp and open my eyes. What was that all about? I just had a dream where y/n was falling into some sort of abyss, crying out to me for help.

I look down and check if she's still there. She is. 

That was... a terrible feeling. I begin hyperventilating, still shaken from that dream I had.

Y/N POV
I'm woken up from my head moving up and down violently. Where am I??

My eyes open and I see the side of my room. I turn my head and see Nanami hyperventilating.

Forget this embarrassing situation, I need to make sure he's okay.

I remove my arms from under him and bring my knees forward so I can use them for support as I get closer to him.

"Nanami, you need to talk to me, what's going on??"

He isn't calming down. I can see the fear in his eyes, he must have had a nightmare.

"Oh gosh, what do I do..."

An idea pops into my head, I just didn't know if he'd be okay with it. It's my only option right now...

"Nanami, I need you to bear with me here, just try to relax and focus on what I'm about to do."

I place my hands on both sides of his head, covering his ears. Closing my eyes, I imagine the scene I had conjured before with the stars, and "teleport" us there. I didn't really teleport us there, I only gave him the image in his head at the same time it was in mine. It's sort of a multiplayer game situation.

I open my eyes and look around. We're standing in a field of tall grass, the sky above us filled with stars. There were fireflies all around us. Yeah, I'll never forget this scene. I took my parents out of this memory for now so I can focus on Nanami.

I look over at Nanami, he hasn't realized that we changed locations and is still taking quick breaths.

I get off him, squat down to his side, and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Nanami, look up."

He looks down at me, then looks up. His breath starts to slow down right after his eyes meet the sky. I can feel his tense shoulders relax and droop down a bit. I sit down next to him so we're shoulder to shoulder. My hand lets go of him and I give him a moment to admire the sky. 

"Wow... this is... wow...", he says.

"Yeah, I know..."

Nanami POV
We sit in silence, just looking up at the sky. It's just like the scene I saw on the ceiling, but better because it was the actual thing.

I look over at y/n and see her laying on her back, stargazing. Suddenly, I remember what I woke up to right before this.

How embarrassing...

I get down and lay alongside y/n, looking up at the stars.

"I came here with my family once." She says. "It's a memory I just can't seem to forget."

"I can see why... I've never seen anything like this."

She turns over to me and leans her head on her hand.

"How are you? You, uh... woke up hyperventilating."

"Oh... yeah, I was just having a bad dream. I'm fine now that I woke up and realized it wasn't real."

"That's good. Do you mind telling me what it was? Maybe I could help in some way."

No. Absolutely not. I can't tell her that it was about her.
