"You're forgiven."

The phrase that I want to hear coming from Jennie's mouth.

"I saw what you did in the kitchen last night. Stop flirting with my future fiancee," Jin said as he put his seatbelt on without glancing at me.

Today, I have to ride with them since the principal called my father about my behavior yesterday. Though Jennie already told me that it was her fault after all.

"Stop owning her, she's not yours." I put my in-pods on and closed my eyes.

When we arrived at MeN, the students were murmuring about the accident yesterday. If the teachers were concerned about Jennie, the students were concerned about me and they even badmouthing her.

"She's a cry-baby. She acted like Taehyung slapped her or something." I heard the student from the waiting area said.

"If I were Taehyung, I won't let that b*tch pass through that gate without a bruise on her face." The other said.

I was about to butt in when someone put her hands around my arms. It was Jennie Kim, showing her gummy smile. What's with her today?

"Don't mind them, you'll just waste your time." She patted my shoulder and removed her hands from me. "Let's go, Ms. Danvers is waiting."

I wonder how could she calm down after hearing those words. I guess she's tough enough to ignore them.

"It's easier to judge than to believe, but don't let them downgrade you. Ignore them, and prove them wrong." Jennie whispered while we were walking in the corridors. She was watching her steps carefully and suddenly smiled at me.

"We're having a practice later, you going?" I asked, changing the subject.

"Yep, your brother invited me. So I have to."

I felt like someone stabbed me after hearing her response. So she can't say no to Jin now? She's following her father's order with no flaws.

While I was sorting the list of songs that we can perform at the battle of the bands, I heard a peal of laughter from afar. I'm sure it was from my brother, his laughs are exclusive for her girls only. He invited Jennie and then she's laughing with another girl?

"You know how to play keyboard, right?" I heard him ask the girl, and to my surprise, it was Jennie. She's smiling genuinely and from ear to ear. I guess my brother made her laugh like that.

I looked at the papers in front of me and continued what I am doing. I want to get out but they will notice me. I should stay here and act like I'm not existing at all.

"I'll play for you," Jennie said and positioned herself in front of the keyboard.

Jin nodded, but before she could start, his phone started ringing. He signaled to Jennie that he'll just answer that quick call and Jennie just nodded.

I don't know why I'm watching them from the corner if I could interrupt their sweet moments. Guess I'm not that rude enough.

Jennie pressed the keyboard and made a soft and gentle sound. It was like a wordless lullaby. I want to look at her, but I don't want to distract her from playing. I'll just listen from here.

"But I'm stuck in the middle of knowing I'm hurt..." My skin prickled when I heard her sing. Damn, that was so soft. Her voice is so sweet and I badly want to listen more.

"I know I should love him, and I wanna make it work." I was taken aback by her lyrics. There's something in me that wanted to stop her. The lyrics stabbed me straight from the heart.

"But I can't help but think that I love you first..." I looked at her, and to my surprise, she was already looking at me. She smiled sadly then continued to play.

"It's getting louder baby, can't ignore it no more." She suddenly stopped when Jin clapped his hands. She turned to him then smiled.

"Do you like it?" she asked and Jin nodded, making her giggled.

If that was for Jin, why is she looking at me then? Are you playing with me, Jennie Kim?

"Should I continue?" she asked again.

"Yes please," Jin smiled and she obliged.

They were singing together that even I forgot that I'm still here, sorting the list of songs. Her voice is so angelic even when she's singing with Jin. The way she played the keyboard flawlessly, made my heart skipped a beat. She was indeed an epitome of beauty and talent.

"Are you done sorting the songs?" Jin asked and walked towards me. His aura changed from dark to bright when Jennie also went in our direction.

Two-face huh?

"Mr. Clinton said that we also need to make a video presentation for the song, right?" Jennie asked and went beside me. I'm in-between them now.

I looked at her while she's busy looking for a song title on the table. Jin patted my shoulder and jerked my head in his direction.

"You can go home, we can finish it from here. Good job for today," he said then flashed a fake smile.

"Going home already? Why don't you join us for dinner later at our house?" Jennie innocently asked.

Jin's strides became heavy and made his way to Jennie's side and put his arms around her. "Mom needs him already, right Taehyung?" Jin asked and raised his brows, telling me to go with the flow.

"Yes, also I have to buy a new guitar for next month's event. See you tomorrow." I waved my hand and grabbed my bag from the chair.

The moment I got outside of the practice room, I leaned on the door and closed my eyes. Is it wrong to wish that it was me? Wishing that it was my hands wrapping around her. Damn it. What did you do to me, Jennie Kim?
