Xia/Grace POV

I've come to see if I can help the other design team.  But they seem to not want my help.

I look around their work space and see some of the formal dresses on the mannequins.  "I'm not surprised Shen is disappointed with these! Where is your creativity this has all been done and seen before? Imagine yourselves wearing the dresses? What would you imagine it to look like? Feel like? What colours gives you confidence too stand in front of people?" I ask hoping it will at least  get them fired up to crack open their own creativity.

I call Shen and explain what happened and how I tried to help.  He thanks me and we arrange to meet for lunch at 12:30.

Shen's suit is nearly finished.  I just want to add a little more detail to the collar and cuff's.  The girls are working hard on the wedding favour's for the guests.  We decided on small suit jacks that will be filled with candy for the men.  That can be used as a cuff link or tie pin holder.  The women will receive Wedding dresses filled with candy.  That can double as a ring, earing and jewellery holder.

We have only invited 50 close friends and family to our wedding but another 50 will arrive for the evening reception.    We're going to ready the country house for our parents, Trevor and Ben to stay at for the wedding .

The next few days fly by with work and wedding preparations.  The nights wrapped up in Shen's arms recharging me for the next day.  My parents will be coming back within the next few days.  I'm excited and also a little terrified about what they might want to do or talk about. I think that's why I'm feeling tired.

I love them dearly but I also know how embarrassing they can be with their displays of affection and the topics they like to bring up, I shudder at the thought.

Five days later

I've come to pick up my parents from the airport.  They were delayed due to weather at one of their stop overs.  I see my mother as soon as she exists the first class arrivals gate.  She wraps me a hug "my baby girl is all grown up" she sniffs as my father hugs me too.

"Alright, alright, Mum let's get you settled back home.  Shen and I stocked the fridge for you" I say pulling away before she starts to cry for real.  "So how is your rest going? Feeling inspired Dad?" I ask

"Your Father is talking about doing a documentary on different marriage rites and customs" Mum tells me.

"That would be interesting and it would help educate others" I admit  "I want to go into the different types of dress and everything" he says sounding happy.

"I had thought it would be great if I could marry your mother in lots of different ways? But she told me to stop dreaming?" he pouts

"Only because of the wedding nights? We are not young anymore and I'm scared you'd ware me out" Mum says making me groan.

"Look you  haven't even been back 5 minutes and I'm already embarrassed! Please tone it back, when you meet Shen and then his parent's?"  I plead

Once I get them home I tell them to rest up and that Shen and I will be over later to visit.  I have to finish a few little bits at work and then I'm free for the wedding.

Shen is waiting for me when I get back to the office.  "Are they alright?" he asks "they are the same as always.  You will see for yourself tonight.  Just remember its their home and please ignore all signs of their possessiveness and love for each other?" I answer

He laughs and shakes his head "I think it would be kind of cute and reassuring" he says a little clueless having not grown up with it.  We grab a quick lunch and then get back to work.
