𝓑eatrix groaned as she stepped out of the Ranger Rover, her hands reached for the sky as she tried her best to decompress her spine. it felt like she had been in that car for hours. A soft smile reached her lips as she felt the sunshine hit her face, the heat radiating from the rays immediately brightened her day. Right there, with her eyes closed, it was so calm. The only thing on her mind. They had survived the winter. She had survived the winter.
After feeling refreshed she opened her eyes again and noise started to fill her ears. The chaos of the group around her. Shaking her head lightly she focused on the matters at hand. Rick, Maggie, Herschel, Daryl, T-Dog and Winston were looking at a map, the piece of worn and torn paper had been laid out on the hood of the car.
"We've got no place left to go," T-Dog spoke as Beatrix joined the group. She weaved her arms around her boyfriend's waist and rested her head against his bicep. Winston replied with his hand on hers.
"When this herd meets up with this one," Maggie pointed towards two spots on the map. "We'll be cut off, we'll never make it south."
"What do you say?" Daryl asked. "It's about 150 head?"
"Yeah, Last week it was, D," Beatrix spoke up, unwrapping herself from the tall boy and choosing to now stand next to him. "By now, it might be double. Hell, triple even."
"That's a bad word, Bea," Rowan scolded her. The young Belgian girl had grown about a head taller than when the farm burned down and became much more talkative with the group too. Winston tapped her on her forehead, pushing her away from the conversation the adults were having.
"So, we're blocked," Maggie sighed when the two lovers joined their attention back on the conversation.
"Only thing to do is double back," Rick said. "Double back at 27th and swing towards Greenville."
"We picked through that already," T-Dog complained. "It's like we spent the winter going in circles."
"Yeah, I know, I know," Rick sighed, turning his attention back to the map. "At Newman, we'll push west. Haven't been through the area. We can't keep going house to house." The leader looked back up, straight into one of the cars. The car housed a very pregnant Lori who was ready to give birth soon.
"We need to find a place to hold up for a few weeks," Rick told the group.
"Alright," T-Dog agreed. "Is it cool if we go to the creek before we head out? It won't take long. We gotta fill up on water, we can boil it later."
