"Today was so great thank you soo much, Elizabeth." I said letting a tear of happiness escape my eye.
"Well, it's not over yet." She smiled.
"What do you mean?"
"The sunset. We need to watch it."
She took my hand and intwined her fingers with mine. We bimbled over to our bench and Elizabeth took out a small pocket knife.
"Yn and Elizabeth Forever" she whispered as she engraved our names into the bench.
I felt a smile creep up on me and I let it spread across my face. It was such a goofy smile and she laughed at me.
Once the sun arrived at a certain point across the Horizon she let go of my hand.
"Yn Henstridge you are such an incredible person and I don't know what I ever did to deserve you. I have been in love with you since the day we met. And then when you saved me by coming to my trailer and just held me. I have never felt more safe than when I'm in your arms. YN you always know exactly what to say or do. After day 1 of filming I didn't think it was possible for me to fall in love with you more. But everyday you prove me wrong. Everyday you find a way to make me fall deeper in love with you and honestly thats what I want to do everyday of my life. When I look at you I see my future. And every step of the way you are there. Helping me with every small problem. YN I don't want to miss a single moment. I was gonna do this for our one year but I just can't wait any longer. YN ((y/m/n) if you have one) Henstridge" she knealt to the ground pulling out a small box and opening it "will you make me the happiest and luckiest person on earth and marry me?"
I looked at her. Slightly surprised but also so happy.
"I think you literally took the words out of my mouth while you were kissing me" I laughed seeing the smile and confused look on her face knowing I had just used a line from one of mine and hers favourite Meatloaf song.
Focusing on her confused look for a moment I pulled out a similar black box from my pocket. I held it closed for a moment.
"Earlier, when I was speaking to your dad, I... and bare in mind how brave I had to be to do this... I asked for his permission to ask you to marry me. Taking me by surprise he said yes. But not without an explination. He told me "YN I am a man of honour and my Family means everything to me. I have seen how happy my Elizabeth is when she is talking about you, looking at you from afar, thinking about you and even when she is next to you. I hate to bring him up but Robbie never made her this happy. And the way MK and Ashley talk about you. Long story short, you have every ounce of permission I have in my body to marry my daughter. Just promise me you will do everything in your power to continue making her happy." And I did. I promised him. Elizabeth, everything you said," I opened the tiny box in my hand and showed her the ring. "Is exactly what I was gonna say to you. So if I marry you, will you marry me?"
She smiled. The ring that was in the box is the exact one she pointed at when we were jokingly looking at engagement rings at the start of our relationship. I had gone back the next day and bought it.
"You are such a dork yn, but you're my dork so 1,000,000 times yes. What about you?"
"1,000,000% yes."
"Forever," she started
"And" I continued
"Always" we finished together.
