"You really thought you could run?!" she yelled, her sharp teeth glistening in the red glow. "You really are stupid!" A laugh escaped her throat as if anything about the carnage was comedic. Glass crunched as she calmly walked forward, her bare feet being cut up by the glass coating the ground, soaking her blood-covered cloak further.

"D-Demon!" the holy man whispered, raising a cross in a pathetic attempt to save himself. I just chuckle and crouch down, inhaling the sweet scent of his deep red blood.

"No..." I raise my arm and watch as it engulfs in unholy flames as the image blurs before me. "Just..." I bring my arm back, and the man starts to take the image of someone else, the frame getting smaller, the hair getting longer... "Your..." I swing down and I see Rose's scared face. I try to stop, but I can't. I never can. "DEATH!" The familiar word escapes me and a tear rolls down as her blood splatters on my already stained clothes...

I remember it vividly. Waking up, covered in sweat, my blonde hair on my face, trembling and gasping, unaware of what's to come. My only worries were the repeated nightmares, like the one above, and that it was 6 o'clock in the morning, and I wasn't able to go back to sleep because of the damn sun. How I wish it could have stayed that way...

I wiped my eyes and yawned, laid back down, and just stared up thinking for a while until I looked back at the time and realised I had stayed there too long.

"Shit! I'm so late!" I scramble outside, my white shirt on backwards and my socks mismatched. "It's the first day of school too! Oh, all the buses have probably left! That means..." I glanced nervously at my motorcycle. It was left to me by my mother after her passing, but I was never fully allowed to learn to ride one, causing an embarrassing fiasco the last time I used it. I could walk, but I'd probably be even tardier than I already am, so, against my better judgement, I walk over to it.

I hop on, put on my helmet, and leave for Meril High. I've never been there before, but it should be a right, then a left and- Oh Shit! What in the world is going on here? I'm hanging upside down, my free hair falling upward! I screech in fear, hugging the motorcycle for dear life. What am I supposed to do now?

"Help! Anybody, help me!" I beg, yet everyone around me either didn't notice me or didn't care enough to help- typical. Giving up quickly, I realise even though gravity seems to go upward, I remain stuck to the ground. That means that I shouldn't fall down if I keep going, right? And besides, that 'ground' is only a couple of feet away, so I wouldn't get hurt too bad if I fell down. I keep going until I reach the school. Thank goodness! I hop off my motorcycle and run inside to my homeroom, but when I get there, everything feels off...

"Where," I ask myself while checking my silver watch, "is everyone? Homeroom should be about to end, but nobody is here!" Pulling out my phone, I check if it isn't actually the weekend to no avail. It's definitely Monday. Maybe I should check the other classrooms?

But as I go further and further it becomes even more bizarre and creepy... It gives me goosebumps. The air is stale and the smell is putrid. Staircases go upside down, though I suppose that isn't too surprising seeing that I should be upside down too. Desks had vines and the occasional tree growing on them and the blackboards, I take note, have different symbols on them that were getting weirder and weirder. Some had an oval with a vertical line through it, others had what looked like a horseshoe with a line under it, and some others went revolving from letters that looked like 't', 'i', and 'a'.

"This has got to be a prank right?" I say to myself, repressing the urge to puke as I see a particularly gory classroom, the single desk having what looked like a decapitated bird on top of it, with the whole thing being upside down. "But who in the world would go this far, especially just to prank me?" Scurrying past, the colours of the wall got increasingly darker, starting green and blue (the school colours) and now appearing almost black and... rocky? I wonder what that means. The classrooms are also having fewer and fewer things and look more and more cavernous with each one I pass. This must be a nightmare, it has to be! My head is pounding in the silence, I can't even hear my own footsteps. And yet, something inside me is telling me, urging me to get to the end of this seemingly endless hallway.
