Chapter 5: Together At Last

-The Monastery-

"I choose Harumi"

Akita's wide smile instantly fell to the ground as Harumi looked up a bit from hearing her name. Harumi looked at Lloyd who was shyly smiling.

"WHAT?!" Akita screamed as she leaped from her seat

"Akita, I like you...as a friend but that's all we are and all we'll ever be...even if Harumi doesn't feel the same way it does not change the fact that I love her and most likely always will" Lloyd confessed as Harumi looked up at him with a tear forming around her eye

Lloyd then turned to Harumi as if Akita was never there and walked up to her. He stopped and took a seat next to her, not taking his eyes off her for a second. He gently grabbed her hand and rubbed circles on it with his index finger as he mumbled

"Rumi, your the one I want to be with" Lloyd had absolutely no idea where this new found confidence came from but he wasn't complaining

Harumi looked up at him with watery eyes, a massive smile plastered on her face. She quickly pulled him in for a warm kiss. Lloyd kissed back, not a care in the world that Akita was standing there with the most confused yet furious face ever seen. They finally broke the kiss as Lloyd stared at the ex-princess, blinking rapidly

"So you feel the same way?" Lloyd asked, hope filled in his voice

"YES!, of course I do" Harumi rolled her eyes playfully as she gave him a quick hug which Lloyd gladly accepted

"Wha...bu...but no, no, no YOU WERE MEANT TO PICK ME!" Akita screamed as she pulled her hair

"I'm sorry Akita, it-" Lloyd tried to explain but Akita cut him off

"H...how do you like her more then ME?" Akita stared at him, genuinely confused

"Me and Harumi have more in common then meets the eye, like she said...we are kindred spirits" Lloyd exclaimed which made a warm smile appear on Harumi's face

Akita set her eyes on Harumi and was about to do something rash until all the Ninja walked in out of nowhere. Kai and Nya were smirking at Lloyd while Jay and Cole immediately headed to the gaming console. Zane walked over to the corner to practice his chess skills. Akita just glared at Harumi with clenched fists until Lloyd took Harumi's hand and led her to his room. Akita watched after them in a mix of confusion, sadness and fury.

"Just you wait 'Princess' until I get my hands on you" Akita angrily mumbled under her breath

LLOYD'S ROOM

Lloyd led Harumi to his room and carefully closed the door. He looked over at Harumi who was smiling to cover up a face of somewhat uncertainty and regret. Lloyd noticed.

'Ugh, what have I done...how have I messed it up already' He thought glumly

"Rumi, you ok?" He asked sceptically

"What, yeah  I'm fine" She lied while giving him a fake smile

"Rumi...I know when you are lying" Lloyd pointed out as Harumi gave out a sigh

"Fine...its just I feel guilty as Akita likes you and you deserve someone as nice as her...not someone who betrayed you and tried to kill you" She muttered sadly

Lloyd raised his eyebrow at the confession. Of all the things that he thought she would of said that was not one of them. He shook his head slightly and walked up to her.
