Chapter 8: Emotionally Drained

-Destiny's Bounty-

"Oh yeah...PIXAL has found it. We have the location of the SOG hideout"

All of a sudden Lloyd's heart skipped a beat. Out of nowhere the void left in his heart refilled for that brief moment which he tried to desperately savour. He was unsure as to why the sudden jolt of happiness spread across his body but a sinking feeling gathered that it had something to do with seeing a familiar white haired girl again.

"YES!- Ahem, I mean great. I'm guessing we are already on the way there" Lloyd pointed out, trying to contain his growing excitement

Cole and Akita shared confused glances at each over before shifting their gaze back to Lloyd.

"Ok..."

-SOG Base-

Ultra Violet ran her daily errands which consisted of preventing the SOG from slacking off and making sure no one had made it to their secret hideout. Still she make her main priority to spy on the 'Quiet One'. Something felt off to the SOG general ever since Harumi re-joined the group, it just came out of nowhere. She suddenly appears after being dead for 2 years at the Monastery honestly looking pretty happy and comfortable. It didn't sit well with UV. No matter how many times Killow suggests just to give it a rest and to stop worrying she wont rest until she finds out the truth.

OUTSIDE

The Ninja, Akita and Skylor were standing behind a bush right in front of the SOG base. It was an abandoned Harbour which led right into the ocean.

"Alright, what's the plan?" Jay started as he turned to the group

"How about we go in pairs?" Cole suggested as Lloyd slumped down

He knew if they split up then he would be left pairing up with Akita and he really didn't feel like getting his private space invaded today. Though despite how much he didn't want to pair up, it was the most logical idea. So with holding back a sigh or a grunt, he nodded.

"That's a good idea" Lloyd agreed

"Great, I'll go with Lloyd!" Akita instantly squealed as she clung onto his arm

Again, Lloyd had to hold back a sigh of annoyance.

"I'll go with Skylor" Kai stated

"I'm going with Nya" Jay announced

"Well I guess that just leaves me and Zane" Cole smiled as everyone nodded

"Affirmative. Good luck friends" Zane stated as the Ninja and Skylor pulled on their hoods.

The Ninja split up and entered the Base from every direction. Lloyd and Akita managed to sneak in through a window. The room they snuck into was very dark yet had no SOG bikers to be seen. Seen as there were no threats, the pair took a few moments to really take in how large the Harbour actually is. It seemed to have multiple rooms to explore considering it was only a Harbour.

"How are we going to find that crystal in this place" Akita exclaimed after an annoyed sigh

Lloyd just simply shrugged. The pair walked around the old room in silence for a few minutes. This seemed to be where they used to build boats. Old boat parts were found lying over the floor lazily. Due to the silence Lloyd slowly got lost in his thoughts again. Unsurprisingly, they were all focused around Harumi. 

Lloyd still didn't understand why she just suddenly betrayed them again, why she betrayed HIM again. It didn't quite add up for him. She seemed so...happy and then she just leaves again. Guess it just proves how good an actress she is. Does she not know how much he loves her? Does she not understand what lengths he would go to protect her? Does she not get how much he needs her?
