chapter two

Cut to the next morning as Steve and Logan are in shield headquarters in DC as the two walk into fury's office

Steve: just can't stop yourself from lying can you

Nick: I didn't lie  agent Romanoff had a different mission then you two

Steve: which you didn't seem to obliged to share

Nick: I'm not obliged to do anything

Logan: those hostages could have died Nicky 

Nick: I sent two of the greatest soldiers in history to make sure that didn't happen

Steve: soldiers trust each other that's what makes it an army  not a bunch of guys running shooting guns

Nick: last time I trusted someone  I lost an eye  look I didn't want you or you to do something you weren't comfortable with agent Romanoff is comfortable with everything

Steve: I can't lead a mission when the people I'm leading at missions of their own

Nick: it's called compartmentalization nobody spills the secrets because nobody knows them all

Logan: except you

Nick: your both wrong about me I do share  I'm nice like that

(As the three of them enter an elevator)

Nick: insight BAY

Computer AI: Captain rogers and agent Howlett does not have clearance for project insight

Nick: director override  fury  Nicholas J

Steve: you know they used to play music

Nick: yeah my grandfather operated one of these things for forty years  no grandad worked in a nice building got good tips he walk home every night role of  one's stuffed in his lunch bag  he'd say hi  people would say hi back
Time went on neighborhood got rougher  he'd say hi  they said keep on steppin  grandad got the grip in that lunch bag a little tighter

Logan: he ever got mugged

Nick: every week some punk would say what's in the bag

Steve: what'd he do

Nick: he'd show them a bunch of crumpled one's and a loaded 22. Magnum   grandad loved people  but he didn't trust them very much

(As Steve and Logan look in surprise to what project insight is )

Nick: yeah I know  they're a little bit bigger than a 22

(As they see three giant halicarrier's with giant guns attached to them)

Nick: this is project insight  three next generation halicarrier's synced to a network of targeting satellites

Logan: launched from the lemurian star

Nick: once we get them in the air  they never need to come down  continuous sub orbital flight  courtesy of our new repulsor engines

Steve / Logan: (in unison) stark

Nick: he had a few suggestions once he got an up close look at our old turbines
These new long range precision guns can eliminate a thousand hostiles a minute  the satellites can read a terrorist's DNA  before he steps outside his spider hole  we're gonna neutralize a lot of threats before they even happen

Steve: thought the punishment usually came after the crime

Nick: we can't afford to wait that long

Logan: who's we

Nick: after new York  I convinced  the world security council  we needed a quantum surge in threat analysis  once we're way ahead of the curve

Steve: holding a gun to everyone on earth and calling it protection

Nick: you know  I read those SSR files greatest generation  you guys did some nasty stuff

Steve: yeah we compromised  sometimes in ways that made us not sleep so well  but we did it  so that people could be free  (pointing at the halicarrier) this isn't freedom  this is fear

Nick: shield takes the world as it is not as we'd like it to be  it's getting damn near past time for you both to get with that  program cap Howlett

Steve: don't hold your breath

(as they both left going their separate ways as Steve left to see the national history museum and Logan went to his motorcycle and drove back to his hotel his staying at till fury needs help as he gets to his room he sees Natasha leaning on the wall as he walks up to unlock the door )

Logan: so how long have you been standing there

Natasha: about twenty minutes

Logan: I'm surprised nobody hustled you

Natasha: hustled  how old are you again 

Logan: a hundred and forty-five

Natasha: okay well nobody says that anymore and I was wondering if we could talk

Logan: sure  (as they both sit on the edge of the bed ) what about

Natasha: I'm sorry I didn't tell you about my side mission fury gave me

Logan: it's okay  you were doing your job

Natasha: still we're friends I should've been honest with you

Logan: okay since we're being honest I'll just come out with it  I like you  like a lot

Natasha: really cause I do too

Logan: really

Natasha: yeah why else do I hang out with you more then everyone else
I have been a little jealous of that date Tony sat you up with

Logan: really cause honestly I only went as favor to Tony  um okay well what should we do now

Natasha:  I think we can come up with a few ideas

(as they start kissing each other more passionately then the next as they lay down on the bed and start taking their clothes off  each other  (and I think you know what happened next) couple hours later after they finished having passionate love making  covering their body's with the sheet on the bed )

Logan: wow  that was amazing

Natasha: yeah that was incredible

Logan: so we got this part of whatever relationship we're starting pretty much covered

Natasha: yeah so that makes me ask what do you want this to be

Logan: well what do you want this to be

(as Logan and Natasha's phone rang at the same time they both went to answer it as they both know it's something important)

Logan: hey Steve  look nows not the tim
What  okay  I'll meet you there

(As they both found out fury has been shot really badly as Natasha and Logan went to the hospital in Natasha's car)
