as usual, rin got up tiredly today. and as usual, once again, she hadn't slept much. she changed into her school uniform, regretting her life decisions since the moment she's woken up. soon, she walked to school unwillingly, and arrived at her class just a little while later.
she dumped her bag onto her desk as she laid her head on the desk, eventually falling asleep.
"rin, are you sleeping in my class?" her science professor asked.
"huh..." the girl mumbled, waking up slowly as all eyes were on her. "oh! wait, i wasn't-"
"rin, you look very tired. have you been sleeping well?" the professor questioned.
"yes! yes i have!" she tried to argue, but a small yawn managed to escape her mouth as she said that.
"miss rin, please see me in my office after class." he ordered.
the said girl sighed to herself. how'd she think she'd get away with sleeping in class? "okay sir..."
the class continued as usual. soon enough, the bell rang, meaning that she had to go her teacher's office. i mean, could it hurt? she didn't have a father or a mother. she arrived at his office in under a minute, as it was in the same corridor as her class.
she knocked on the door, getting a command to enter.
"hello, rin." he said. "have a seat."
she did as she was asked.
"lately, you seem to be sleeping late at home, and sleeping through some of your classes. is something wrong?" he questioned, trying to hide the worry in his voice.
"it's nothing big. i just have to take care of my little brother." she admitted.
"do you not have a guardian?"
"no, i live by myself." she told him.
"well, we can't have students living by themselves. do you have a relative living here?"
she sighed. "yes, my aunt lives here..."
"great. i'll need her to move into your home." he said.
"dammit." she cursed under her breath. she had never liked her aunt; not one bit. her aunt returned her feelings as well.
"sorry?"
"nothing."
"okay. so, i will need her number, if you don't mind." he said, giving her a pen and a paper.
she wrote her aunt's number on the paper. "may i leave now?"
"yes."
"great. thank you, sir." she said, heading to her locker to take out her books. on her way, she ran into a familiar red-head.
"hey there, rin!" reki said.
"oh. hey!" she said.
"what..?" the blue-haired friend the girl didn't notice with reki asked.
"oh um, langa, this is rin, my friend. rin this is langa, my best buddy!" he explained.
"hey. nice to meet you." the girl said, stretching her hand for him to shake.
"yes, same to you." he said, shaking her hand.
"well, i better get to my locker now-"
"wait! rin, are you free tonight?" reki questioned.
"sure, why?" she asked.
"have you heard of 'S'?"
