The woman frowned as she clicked the TV off. Poor girl, she thought, I wonder if Greg knows about this...

She went up stairs to her mates study and found him hard at work. She kissed his cheek gaining his attention.

"Greg I saw on the news a girl was found dead outside of the forest." she said softly while sliding into his lap.

He wrapped his arms pulling her closer, "when we have our child they won’t be harmed, they will have my genes and your intelligence. We will protect them with our lives. Besides he or she will be the next alpha of our pack." he said calming her nerves.

She smiled pulling him to kiss her, “I say we get started then." she mused and he was happy to comply.

“I’m sorry but what we have feared was true... you are infertile." the doctor said sadly and the woman sobbed into her mates chest.

The doctor left them alone to adjust to the new circumstance. The woman wanted a baby to call her own. She wanted a child to hold and to love.

Her mate rubbed her back sad as well. He won’t have an heir and his mate was sad.

She pulled back as an idea came to mind. He was confused at his mate’s new happiness.

"We can get a donor egg." she whispered. Yes, she was going to do that. She was going to get an egg from a woman that looked like her so she could have a daughter or son and her mate will have an heir.

He looked conflicted but he complied seeing his mates new found happiness.

They went and found the perfect egg. Brown hair and blue eyes was given in the description.

After the miny operation and insemination they went home happy. They were going to have a family after all.

Off away in the distance the woman watched the happy couple go home. Her job was done and now the prophecy will complete itself.

She pulled off the scrubs she borrowed from the nurse she knocked out, and tossed them away.

She looked down at the now empty needle container. She tossed it and prayed that her plan would work.
