"Grace!" I heard my mom yell.

I groaned, "Coming!" I yelled back. What did she want I was about to go running!

I jogged down stairs and saw her hugging dad. I raised an eyebrow, "I’m not getting any younger." I teased and they turned to me with a smile.

My mom broke away from my dad and grinned, "We are going to visit a neighboring pack, to see if their new alpha is your mate." she said excitedly and grabbed my hands.

I just let out a small laugh, "mom I already told you my mate won't be an alpha male. They are always stuck up and rude. My mate will sweep me off my feet and carry me off into the moonlight." I dreamily sighed.

She just rolled her eyes; "we are leaving at noon so hurry up with your run and get a few days packed." she nodded at me before heading to dad.

I stood at attention, "yes madam!" I saluted her then marched out hearing my parent’s chuckle.

Once I was out of the house I jogged to the woods and quick stripped then shifted. I loved the feeling of going to one being to the next, it was almost as if you are getting ready for a battle or something. It was thrilling.

I swiftly jogged through the woods and let a huge howl rip through my throat that echoed through the woods. I wagged when I got answering howls and some of my older and younger pack mates came to join me on the run.

'Grace?' I heard a little voice.

I looked back to see one of the newly turned boys was trying to keep up with me. I slowed down, 'what is it James?' I asked him while still running.

He panted as he asked, 'can we go on a hunt?' he let out a little grunt as he almost fell.

I scooped him up into my mouth, 'does everyone want to go hunting?' I heard a round of agreements and I made a left to the meadow where I knew deer always ate.

I set the pup on the edge of the woods and smiled at him. I explained how and what we were going to do to catch a few deer. I had to wait a moment because there was a group of cubs that wanted to go hunting.

After a few moments we were ready. 

'Go' I shouted through my minds and the older kids ran around trapping the deer and the younger kids attacked them taking down two. I had the people let the rest of the deer go.

Everyone munched on the deer and I called a goodbye and ran back. I showered and packed a snack I jogged down stairs.

My mom and dad were already waiting in the car. I slid in and they took off.

I felt a light tap on my shoulder, "honey we're here." I heard my mom's voice say.

I blinked looking over and she moved from the door. I unbuckled stepping out with a stretch and tossed my bag over my shoulder.

A guy came and took my bag leading us inside. People bowed respectfully and I nodded back with a smile. I was told to go meet the alpha with my parents while they put our bags away.

We entered a meeting type room where I saw the alpha. Yah he definitely not my mate. He lifted his head and his bright green eyes widened when he saw me.

'Willow' I heard him whisper under his breath but I heard it with my enhanced hearing.

He quickly righted himself and stood up with fake smile, "hello you must be alpha Gregory and Jessica." he greeted shaking their hands.

My mom pulled me in front of them; "this is our daughter grace." she nodded to me with a giggle.

My expression hardened when he stuck his hand out for me to shake. I crossed my arms refusing to touch him. It was one of thoughs gut feelings you got about certain people. Not to mention he was like 30 something but looked 26. I barely turned 18 I’m not going to go for someone twice my age.
