I was going to murder whoever did this!!! I bent down sniffing to catch the faint scent. It was barely enough to follow.

I turned sprinting to follow the smell. As I ran faster the stronger it got; I was surprised to see it was heading in the direction of that nice ladies house.

I growled wanting to shift but if I shifted I wouldn’t have any clothes to change back into. I ran faster pumping my legs harder. I don’t know what is inside of that chest, but for someone to steal it means they know.

I could smell the ladies house now but the scent went a different way. I saw a cabin like place coming into view; the door was open so I didn’t hesitate to run into it.

A scream left my throat as I fell down and went through a portal. I held back throwing up and I crashed into the ground. I looked up slightly sick and saw a small portal.

The smell went into the portal. I groaned and ran jumping through it; I stumbled and had to hold down throw up.

I was about to run again when I saw a castle like place just beyond the trees... was this... the abandoned castle?

I saw something run through the trees making me sprint after them. The scent was strong as I followed it into the silent building.

I could hear the running of whoever it was as I ran after them. I stopped outside of the door peeking my head into where the person had entered.

I growled lowly seeing it was that woman who showed me to my room! She looked out of breath and she put my black chest in front of her.

I snarled and her head jerked up with a gasp. I stepped into the room in a predatory crouch, "you stole something of mine!"

She jumped up and her eyes went red as she hissed at me, "it belongs to my prince!" she bared her vampire fangs at me.

I get it now; I knew the vampire smell but I didn’t know she was one. I can’t believe I was so easily tricked by here! She crouched hissing, "the key to this chest is around my prince's neck, which means it belongs to him!"

I flashed grabbing her throat pinning her to the wall, "that chest is mine!" I roared squeezing her throat.

She clawed at my arm ripping my arm open. I ignored the pain and her neck snapped under my strength. I dropped her body, a snapped neck won’t kill a vampire but it will keep her down.

I walked to where my chest was and saw it was next to a glass like chest. The vampire inside the chest seemed familiar to me in some way... but I have never seen him before.

I picked up my chest looking at the hole on it then at his neck. That necklace did seem to have the same shape. I reached over with my hurt hand grabbing the necklace pulling it off.

I frowned seeing how I accidently got blood across his face. I think that is disrespecting the dead but he was a leach, who cares?

I walked from the room holding the necklace and chest. Now I just need to get back to my mom so she knows I’m-

I jerked back when a portal appeared in front of me. I looked around walking around the portal, "how did this open?" I wondered reaching up touching it with my finger.

I gasped as it was like I was being pulled in by my finger. I fell into the portal but within a second I face planted into the ground.

I groaned pushed myself up, "oh grace! Why is your arm covered in blood?!"

I looked up and saw my mom running from the house we were staring at her. She grabbed my elbow leading me inside, "I thought you were at that alphas house?! Why are you hurt and why do you only have that chest with you?" she was panicking.

She brought me to the kitchen to wash my arm off. I pulled the bloody necklace from my arm so my mom could wash it.

"Grace? Darling are you ok?" she asked touching my forehead.

I faked a smile, "yah mom!' I pulled my arm from her hands, 'I’m already healed so no need to worry it was just a scratch." I grabbed the cheat heading upstairs, "I’m not hungry!" I called to her closing the door, locking it.

I sat on my bed with the two items in front of me. I looked at the blood covered necklace; my mind was racing. I was thinking of coming back and it... it just happened. I think it was because of the necklace.

I didn’t think magic like that exist... I mean I knew that there were portals and such but this necklace created a portal to where I wanted to go...

I grabbed the necklace and tilted the chest so the hole faces me. I gulped as I placed the necklace piece in the hole... it fit perfectly...

I pressed it down but nothing happened. I tried twisting and turning but it was stuck. I growled getting mad; it has to work!

I did not portal jump multiple times to get back my chest plus a key that doesn’t even work! I pushed the chest away from me and it tumbled to the ground.

I let out a growl of frustration, all that works for nothing! Nothing! Well not entirely... I found where the castle was... and I have a magic necklace that could take me there...

I slid off my bed sitting cross legged on the ground grabbing the chest. I pulled the necklace from the hole letting it dangle in front of me.

If this necklace really had the power to create portals then a lot of people would want it... then they would want what was in the chest.

I set the necklace down and something went off in my head. I can’t believe I have never tried this before... I lifted the chest up and shook it. I sighed hearing nothing; I set the box back down running my hands down my face.

I grimaced at the smell of my own blood and decided on a shower. After I was a cleaned up me grabbed the necklace and washed it in the sink before putting it around my neck.

I hid it behind my shirt determined; the best place for it is on me.

My attention was drawn to the door as I heard soft knocking, "grace honey are you ok? You were acting strange." she told me outside my door.

I picked up setting the chest on the nightstand before opening the door, "mom I’m fine, just a bit tired from going through the portal."

She sighed and smiled, "ok. You had me worried there for a second." I smiled back and she kissed my forehead going down stairs.

My smile fell as I closed the door; I had to keep this a secret. If mom found out and the wrong person found out they would kill mom thinking she had it.

I don’t know what to do... I feel as if I should be doing something but my brain feels like the inside of a bees nest. I can’t concentrate and my head hurt a lot.

I laid on my bed rubbing my temples; maybe a short nap will help... I will have my brain settled and decide what to. So a nap... I was already sleepy so closing my eyes and falling asleep seemed to be the easiest thing right now.
