Your eyes fill with tears watching the fireworks explode over Seoul as the music of the Sowoozoo concert starts to fade.
“lets go down there” Jennie smiles, wiping away her own tears. You watch as Sujin starts to help your parents step down from the seating area overlooking the stadium – the members had done an amazing job. Following the small crowd, you feel desperate to see Namjoon, watching him perform and do a whole show always fills you with so many emotions, even without a crowd you can see how much he loves it.

“did we do OK?” he grins as he sees you arrive backstage – he is covered in sweat, a staff member frantically trying to mop his skin as he moves around to come to see you.
“So amazing!” you breathe as his solid body hits you, swooping you into a bear hug, lifting you off your feet. Leaning down you peck his lips, planting kisses along his damp cheeks and pushing his wet hair back to kiss his slick forehead.
“I’m all sweaty” he leans his face back from your kisses.
“so?” you grin, wrapping your legs around him to pull him closer, finally capturing his mouth, your bodies pressed together you can feel his heart beating, the adrenaline still hammering through him.
“Namjoon… can I grab you for a little while?” a staff member appears and asks in Korean.
You unwrap your legs, dropping to the floor, reluctantly letting go of his body.
“nope” Joon smiles, “we agreed… as soon as the concert was done, I’m free until I'm married”
Namjoon grabs your hand, winding through the crowd of staff members to get away from the management team.
He leads you into the group of various family members, stopping to hug everyone and smiling humbly through their praises.

“we’re all set” you turn to Joon, grinning as he zips up his suit bag, hooking it over the wardrobe.
“tomorrow!” he breathes, flopping back onto his side of the bed.
“tomorrow” you repeat, crawling over the duvet next to him to kiss his forehead. As you lean close to him, you hear his heart beating, “are you ok? Nervous?” you run your fingers through his hair, trying to calm him.
“excited” he confirms, looking up at you from the pillow, his lips looking too inviting.
“what time are you heading over to the other apartment?” you ask – you had agreed to spend the night apart, Namjoon would be staying at the shared apartment – the members would all get ready together tomorrow morning, and you would stay at your place, your bridal party would be arriving early to start your hair and make up.
Namjoon looks at his watch, “I guess I should go before midnight?” he smiles, “that means we have an hour…” he tilts his lips up, signaling for a kiss.
“we do…” you hum against his mouth, “but I though we agreed we wouldn’t….” you nibble his lip, “…until our wedding night”
“I regret agreeing to that” he groans as you lean back from his mouth, “you better be there…” he looks into your eyes.
“what?” you run your fingers through his hair again.
“you better turn up tomorrow… no getting cold feet” his eyes look serious as you chuckle.
“Namjoon” you move your face to look straight in his eye, “I'll be there… I cant wait to marry you”
He exhales, “promise…”
“I promise” you say automatically, your heart starting to flutter with nerves, “why are you asking me this?”
“I don’t know” he closes his eyes, “I guess… I keep imagining something will go wrong”
“why?” you breathe, unsure how to reassure him.
“is a person allowed to be this lucky?” he opens his eyes, looking at your face, “we met 7 years ago, and I wanted to marry you way back then”
“and now you finally are” you smile, “we’re both lucky” your heart expands looking at his face and saying the words.
“seven is, kind of… a big deal for us” he sits up, “it just seems too perfect”
You hold his gaze, “Namjoon” you lean forward to touch his face again, “I promise I’ll be there tomorrow, and I promise I’ll marry you”
He exhales in a shudder, “I cant be this lucky” his eyes close as his head dips, looking defeated.
“you can” you touch his chin to raise his face – leaning in to kiss him, “and I promise we’ll live happily ever after”
His mouth twitches in a small smile.

‘get some sleep! See you in the morning xx’ you smile at your phone and send Sujin a heart emoji in reply.
The clock reads 1am on your phone, only 6 hours until the girls, your Mum and a fleet of stylists arrive. An hour since you’d kissed Namjoon goodbye at the apartment door, his mood still a little gloomy.
Your stomach flips thinking of the look in his eye – he is genuinely worried that you’ll run.

You think back over the past 7 years – the Anniversary party in the members’ tiny apartment, Sujin disappearing into the little shared bedroom with Hoseok – turning and bumping into Namjoon, his perfectly styled blonde hair and dark outfit making him look good enough to eat, the way he’d looked at your lips as you’d talked, the excited shake of his knee. Jumping a whole year -  the first text, ‘are you in Seoul? KNJ x’ – the first call, Skype connecting you from around the world - seeing him through the screen, topless in his old studio – the friendship and laughter – the thoughtful gifts – falling in love – shouting his name across a silent airport lounge – seeing him perform in Paris – a car pulling up on your street - Namjoon in your bed back in England – the flight to Seoul, moving to live with him – the members... the girls... ARMY... their music – this wonderful life with him.
He’d looked so worried.
Slipping out of your bed, you pull on one of Namjoon’s hoodies, drinking in his scent grabbing your shoes, phone and key.
