The best summer (where it all begun)

Hope POV

Landon is going away for the summer and lizzie's going on a trip with her mom its kind of a bummer I won't have anyone to spend my summer with.

"hey hope" lizzie said

"hey lizzie" I responded

"so, what are you doing for the summer?" she asked

"I'm going to be here, doing nothing" I say

"bummer. is the hobbit not staying with you?" she asked

"no, he's going somewhere with rafael for the summer" I say

"well, you have josie here, although she might be a little distracted with her new play thing. finch" lizzie says, adding disgust in her voice as she mentioned finch

"I guess so, you should get going" I say

"yeah, your right" she said

"see you after summer" I said waving goodbye to her

Josie POV

"What are you doing for the summer?" I asked finch

"going away, I been planning a trip with my friends, what about you?" she asked

"Well, my mom was going to take me and my sister on a trip , but I decided to stay with my dad for the summer so he won't be alone"

"aww, look at you being sweet as always" she said as she leaned in for a kiss

"umm, when are you leaving?" I asked

"tomorrow" she said

"oh ok, well we can still spend today together" I said

"actually , I have to get packed and everything, i'm sorry" she said

"it's ok" I said

"but hey, when I get back I'm all yours" she said with now closing the gap

I was now in my room all by myself, lizzie left me, finch is leaving me. Guess I still have my dad. I got up to get a snack, I noticed there isn't anyone here. Everyone left for the summer.

well at least that's what I thought. I bumped into someone

"sorry" they said

"its ok- hope? what are you still doing here" I asked

"well, I'm staying here for the summer" she says

"same" I say

"I know, lizzie told me but umm where's finch?" She asked

"well, shes going away for the summer just like everyone else" I say

"guess that means we only got each other" she said with a unreadable smile

"yeah, yeah sure" I said

"but umm where are you heading?" she asked me

"I'm going to grab a snack, want to join me?" I asked

"umm, why not" she said

"so hope, what do you plan on doing for the summer? besides stay here" I say

"actually don't know, all the people I spend my time with left me here" she says

"well, since we only have each other why not spend the summer together?" I asked

"and do what?" she asked

"I don't know anything you want" I say

"How about we go to the grill get to know each other more? What's the harm in that?" she asked

"sure, let me just go grab my stuff" I say

"My treat" she says with a smile

"no, no way we both pay" I say

"nope, my treat I'm paying" she says

"We could fight about this all day" I say

"ok, you win" she said, I didn't take hope as the one to give up so easy

"that was easy" I said
