The best summer (where it all begun)

Chapter: 4

Josie POV

Hope and I went to the grill and got some breakfast and stayed there until about 12 pm.

"Maybe we should head back, my dads probably worried" I said 

"or we can go check on your dad then I could take you to have some fun" she said 

"I don't know, what type of fun are we talking about?" I asked 

"you will have to wait and see" she says with a smile 

"ok fine" I agreed

"its a date" she said before she got up to throw her milkshake away 

a date? I shouldn't think to much into this. But I can't help but to wonder what she meant.

"hey Hope?" I say

"yeah?" she responded 

"what do you mean it's a date?" I asked 

"it's figure of speech" she said 

"oh ok" I say 

"what did you think it meant?" she asked me 

"it's stupid" I say 

"no honestly, I want to know" she said 

"well I thought you meant it as like a actual date" I said 

"of course not" she said 

I felt a little sad at her comment

"Well Only because we both are in a relationship, not saying that I wouldn't go out with you, you get what I mean?" she says 

"yes I do" I said 

"we should get going so I could take you to have fun" she said with a soft smile. a really cute I mean a really nice smile

We arrived back at the school and I headed straight towards my dads office.

"Dad?" I opened the door and he wasn't there 

I then seen a note that said 

"heading out, won't be back until later tonight" 

I then went left to go to hope's room to see if she was ready

HOPE POV 

knock knock,

"come in josie" I yelled 

"how did you know it was me?" she asked 

"well you are the only other person here" and my wolf knows your scent, but I can't tell her that she might think I'm weirder than I already am.

"It could've been my dad" she said 

"well, It's clearly you" I said 

"ok, so where are we going?" she asked 

"I know a place, what time is it?" I asked  

"it's 2 almost 3 pm" she said 

"ok, let's go" I said

At the carnival

"this is where you wanted to take me" she asked 

"not quite, this is the beginning though" I said before I grabbed her hand and ran to the nearest game.

"let me try" I said 

"you think you could win this?" she said 

"I don't think, I know I can" I said  

"WE HAVE A WINNER" The worker said 

"Told you" I said as I handed josie the big teddy bear I won

"You two are a cute couple" The worker said with a smile

"actually we aren-" josie was saying

"thanks,have a nice day ma'am" I said before walking off

Josie kept staring at me

"what?" I asked

"why didn't you tell her we aren't a couple?" Josie said 

"I don't know, it isn't a big deal" I said 

"it's a big deal to me" josie said 

"why?" I asked 

"because first you said "It's a date" now people are saying we are a good couple and your ok with it" josie says 

"ok, next time someone ask I will say we are no where near a couple. would that help?" I said 

"where are we going?" she asked, completely ignoring my question

"home, I actually don't feel like having fun any more, i'm tired." I say 

"is it because of what I said " she says 

"no, just tired" I say
