Nat
I became a bit of a celebrity among the 1A students. I guess I made a pretty big splash yesterday, which for once I'm ok with.
"Dude you were awesome yesterday!" Sero said.
"Yeah it was kinda unfair that we didn't get the chance to hear what your quirk was ahead of time, but your team was amazing. You totally took us by surprise!" said Kirishima.
"Oh thanks guys."
"And the way you threw Bakugo across the courtyard! The look on his face was priceless!"
Speaking of Bakugo, he had been surprisingly quiet since he walked in the room. I kept getting my fair share of death glares, but I guess being thrown across the courtyard had been a somewhat humbling experience for him.
Well, then he flipped me off so maybe not. Oh well.
"Hey y'all what's happening?"
The girl with pink hair and wings had arrived for class, and she walked toward us. I waved, getting that familiar feeling again.
"Nat right?" she asked.
"Yeah and you're...AJ?" I was terrible with names.
"Yes ma'am."
We looked at each other for a moment in silence, both trying to use the singular braincell we possessed to figure out why on Earth we were getting deja vu. Then it hit us.
"OH MY GOD IT'S YOU!!!"
I'm not even kidding, we yelled that in unison and pointed at each other as soon as we realized. It was like that Spiderman meme but with two idiots instead.
She was the girl from middle school.
"I can't believe I didn't realize who you were until now!" I said.
"Me too I--"
Suddenly her body shook, and I swear another girl STEPPED OUT OF HER SOMEHOW WHAT?!
"Oh my goodness it's been so long!" said the new girl. She had longer dark hair and this aura that I can only describe as...angelic? I had never sensed an energy like hers before.
"Uh...hi?"
"Oh gosh I'm so sorry. This is probably a little startling for you. Well actually it's pretty new for AJ and I as well. You see we just discovered it yesterday when--"
"Serena get to the point," said AJ.
"Ah yes sorry. I'm Serena! I'm basically an angel. I technically met you in middle school because AJ is my host, but we've never been able to separate until now. It's so nice to finally speak with you!"
AJ laughed. "Well I guess someone was excited to say hello. I didn't even get to finish my sentence."
We chatted some more, catching up and trying to guess what would happen this school year. Apparently we would be going to the USJ soon. That should be fun.

Aizawa
"Good morning everyone. Please take your seats."
All the students suddenly turned to attention and scrambled to sit down. I scanned the room, relieved to see that all the seats were filled today.
Natalie even seemed to be getting making friends already. I saw her look over at AJ and laugh about something as everyone finished settling in. I heard they both did very well yesterday. I guess I was worried for nothing.
I kept watching her closely though. I couldn't help but think about how something felt...off. The way she would just run free with her quirk and the odd circumstances of her application to UA just didn't quite add up. Where were her parents in all of this?
I decided to investigate.

Nat (A few days later)
School carried on as usual.
Every day I would come to class feeling safe and happy, and then I would walk back "home." I kept looking over my shoulder to make sure no one ever followed me, and it seemed like the coast was clear.
I'm sure you can imagine my surprise when one day Mr. Aizawa showed up at the doorstep of the "home" I had made out of an abandoned building.
"What the--? Did you follow me?"
"This...is where you live?"
Well damn he didn't have to be so blunt about it, but yeah. I guess it was kind of a dump.
"Look, kid. I'm sorry I followed you but I had to confirm my suspicion. Where are your parents?"
I just stared at my feet.
"Do they know where you are?"
I don't know where it came from, but suddenly tears started forming in my eyes.
"I hope not," I said. It was barely audible.
"Well hey...I don't know what your situation is, but I want to help you. Come with me. You'll want to bring your things."
I didn't have much, but I decided for once to place my trust in someone else and pack it up anyway. It just felt...right.
After a bit of walking we made it to what I assumed was his house. He made some calls, and I guess he arranged to be my guardian for the time being. It seemed so odd to me that someone I barely knew would do something so nice. (Or anyone for that matter).
I plopped down on the couch and hugged the stuffed rabbit I had brought from my former "home" close to my chest. Apparently it was a gift from my dad. I risked nabbing it when I ran away, and I always made sure to take it with me whenever I moved somewhere new.
It had been so long since I slept somewhere as comfortable as a couch. I soon found myself drifting off to sleep, feeling strangely safe for the first time in my life...
...and somehow feeling like I was finally home.
