I am quiet but when I talk I am loud

This is a poem I wrote when the teacher forced us to follow guidelines/a structure. So I decided to hide as many nerdy references as I could. And the teacher didn't catch a single one. My friend on the other hand... well...

I am quiet but when I talk I am loud

I wonder what lives in the stars

I hear the songs of time

I see frozen lakes of tranquility

I want to see the world

I am quiet but when I talk I am loud

I pretend to care about class drama

I feel the red grass sprinkled with silver leaves

I touch Camelot's walls

I worry about our future

I cry for the people we've lost

I am quiet but when I talk I am loud

I understand that we affect the future

I say time is relevant

I dream of traveling the universe

I try to change my future

I hope we can all live as equals

I am quiet but when I talk I am loud
