In just the short amount of time of training and being back in my pack i had grown strong. My muscles were more visible and bigger than what they used to be. I was about an average build now but I was stronger than I looked. When I was in human form I was winning spars against two people in wolf form. When I was in wolf form I was winning spars against five wolves. My father claimed that I was quickly catching up to his strength. My appetite was slowly coming back and I was now eating about half of what Noah ate.

I was running in wolf form at a pace Noah could keep up with as we dodge everything in our path. However I came to a stop when I saw my mate walking around. I was quick to approach her and lay down in front of her. Her hand went into my fur and I leaned into the touch. We had become a lot closer and I was ready to mark her.

I had done research and while.it wouldn't change her to a wolf, it would give her some benefits that wolves had. Her senses would heighten and she would be able to communicate with us when we were in wolf form. Once I marked her a mark would form where a female wolf would usually mark the male. It would be a unique one that showed some kind of sign of what kind of person Skylar was.

My mother had made a promise to talk to Skylar about it. She also told me that I had to go at Skylar's pace sense her body probably wouldn't be able to handle the original speed of the mating process. My father sensed something in Skylar though. He was looking into that though. It intrigued me though. He claimed that he could feel power flowing off of her. Just like a wolf would do. They more power their mate had the more power that wolf would radiate. He was thinking she is a wolf but something stopped her from shifting.

"Your mom said dinner was ready." She said. I stood and turned to Noah who quickly darted behind a tree. I followed his actions and ran out with my shirt in my hands. I pulled it on as I walked closer to Skylar. It had been a month since Skylar had cut my hair and I finally convinced her to be the one to cut it for me.

"Your mom talked to me about the whole marking process." Skylar said as she walked next to me. Well, it's safe to say my mom got business done and fast. I wasn't complaining about anything but it was a little shocking.

"And?" I asked as I glanced down at her.

"It doesn't sound too bad of an idea. I'm not ready for it but I'm not as scared about being marked." She said. I smiled a little as I glanced down at Skylar again. I could tell she was thinking very seriously about this. I wasn't going to force her into anything though. After all, that would make me seem like a bad guy in her eyes.

"Hey, don't think about it so much. I'm not going to force you into anything. It would make me as bad as the wolves in those stories Noah told you. I'll mark you when you're ready. If you aren't ready then I'll wait.  That's a promise." I said. Her eyes that I've fallen in love with met mine as she searched my face. She nodded her head before holding up her pinky. Without breaking eye contact I latched mine with hers. It had become something we did often. As a result my parents had gotten us rings with a pinky promise being made engraved in them. When I went to train or went on a run in wolf form I gave it to Skylar so I wouldn't lose it.

"Here's your ring." She said. I took it from her and slid it on my finger as we continued out way. We walked in and both Noah and I raced to wash up and get food. Of course, I finished first since I still had a smaller appetite. We took a seat and I got up to get a drink while grabbing one for Skylar as well. I set the cup in front of her and she smiled before looking over at Noah in shock. My eye twitched to see him already halfway done with his food. He has crumbs all over his face and it drove me crazy.

"You're so messy." I growled as I took a napkin and shoved it onto his face. My parents and siblings laughed as Skylar shook her head at our behavior. It was something normal that happened at every meal.

"You're so forceful." Noah laughed. I rolled my eyes before taking my seat next to him and began eating my own food. I was halfway done when I saw Noah complete finished. His face still had food on it so once again, I shoved a napkin in his face.

"You're worse than a toddler." I grumbled and went back to eating.

"Am not. If anything the toddlers are worse than me." Noah said. I jabbed my finger in the direction of the kids table. He turned his head and his smile faded.

"I feel very insulted right now." He mumbled and crossed his arms.

"Good." I shot back. Noah gasped dramatically as he held his head over his heart. I rolled my eyes at my best friend and shook my head.

"I think you need to apologize." Noah joked.

"And I think you need to grow up." I joked back. He went to grab some of my food and I was quick to stop him.

"Noah, he doesn't let anyone take food from his plate." Ronald pointed out. Skylar took something from my plate and put in her mouth.

"You stand corrected." Noah laughed.
