The next day a mark appeared on my neck. I liked it and took about five minutes to study it. I changed then left for training. I was hoping Skylar would know where I was since I usually wait to leave until she was awake. However, when I woke up I was already close to being late.

We were taking a break when I heard her call my name. I turned and saw her pretty mad as she quickly walked over to me. I felt fear rise up in my body as I approached her. Maybe I should have just been late to training. There was no going back now though. I already messed up with my first decision today.

"You weren't there when I wake up. You're always there when I wake up." She said and crossed her arms.

"I know but when I woke up I was really close to being late for training. It's not that I didn't want to be there, I just had training." I said. She looked me up and down before letting out a sigh.

"Right. I forgot your rank for a second." She mumbled. I pulled her body to mine and wrapped my arms around her and rested my chin on her head. I would have been upset too if I were in her shoes. I pulled back and gave her a quick kiss.

"I swear after I'm done with training that I'll be all yours for the rest of the day." I told her. She stuck her pinky out and I smiled before hooking mine with hers.  She kissed me once again before letting me run off to continue training.

Skylar's POV

Like Andrew's mother had said, my senses did indeed heighten. I could actually smell the mouth watering scent she had said only a mate could smell. His was an odd combination but I found it very comforting. The scent of mint and cinnamon was overwhelming in his room yet it was definitely a mix I could get used to. I went to his mother to see if she could help me learn a few things about being the queen. After all, I would have to know them in order to help Andrew. That and Andrew was busy with training at the current moment.

"He marked you! That's fantastic!" His mother said with a grin and ran over to bring me into a hug. I smiled and let her since I never really got to witness this kind of motherly love for myself.

"I figured out why I can sense the power of being the next queen coming from you. Your mother was a werewolf. Why didn't you tell us?" Andrew's father asked.

"I didn't know it was important." I mumbled.

"Do you know for sure if you are one hundred percent human? Because if you aren't then Andrew's mark is going to trigger you shifting for the first time soon." He said.

"I assume so. Touching silver never hurt me." I said. I watched his eyes get a far away look in them before a wolf walked through minutes later. He didn't speak a word but instead began inspecting me, at least I think it was that.

"She's completely human sir. She has wolf blood in her but not enough to do most things wolves can. All your son's madk did was help her senses heighten, made her healing process speed up and made it to were she could communicate to us through mindlink so we can talk to her in wolf form." The wolf said before leaving.

"Well, I'm going to be taking Skylar and start teaching her a few jobs the queen has." Andrew's mother said. His father nodded and kissed her forehead before returning to his desk.

"Mom, where's Skylar?" I heard Andrew call. Me and his mom were currently sitting in one of the many living areas in the castle as she showed me pictures of Andrew up until he got taken. Many of them were cute and one was after his and Noah's first physical fight. There were two boys sitting in the background looking beat up while both Noah and Andrew looked overly happy. He walked in and looked at his mom and me before shaking his head. He walked over and stood behind us. He took the pictures from his mom as his father walked in.

"Who's this and why do I look so angry in that?" Andrew asked.

"The is a girl your grandmother wanted you to marry. You were so mad when your grandmother told you that you'd marry her one day. You threw a tantrum for hours and claimed you'd never be with anyone besides your mate. That's why we haven't told many people you're found and home." His mother said.

"Well, you seem like you were a angry child." I said as I looked up at him.

"I swear the boy was. When he was three and Ronald and Jaine were learning to walk he'd push the over and then claim they tried to push him." His father said.

"Him and Noah became best friends after he decided to stand up for him. He came home with a black eye but next to him was Noah who looked extremely happy to have a friend." His mother laughed.

"Now he's the one who bullies me." Noah's voice sounded. Andrew looked over and sent a grin at his best friend who walked over and wrapped his arm around him. Andrew was skinnier than Noah but they both knew that Andrew could easily win a fight between the two.

"Mom! Grandma is here!" Sarah's voice sounded. Andrew and Noah were too busy comparing each other's height to even hear what was going on. I was too busy watching them.

"Oh yeah, well I have my mate." Andrew shot at Noah. Noah looked around before grabbing the pillow next to me and holding it up in victory.

"Oh yeah, well I have this pillow." Noah said before throwing it at Andrew.

"Andrew?" Two voice sounded.
